I am looking to relocate and so far the only farm I have found is Valinor Farm. Does anyone know of any hidden gems in this area, I would drive up to 20 minutes from Plymouth. Also, any experience with Riesling Stables on Tower Hill? Thanks for any suggestions.

Nothing, other than I feel bad for you for relocating to MA, expecially Plymouth. Wait until you endure a winter or two. :(

The only thing we are bitter about in Vermont is the last two Presidential Elections!

I moved to Vermont a few years ago, and I don't think the weather is any different than anywhere else in New England. Really. The few degrees don't change things much. Plymouth is NOT a cold place to live. The Pilgrims did just fine, and they didn't have central heating!

Plymouth and Cape Cod get more snow than the rest of MA from what I remember. I haven't lived there in over 20 years. All I remember about it was the freezing cold, never ending rain, and wet snow. I also remember having to break the ice out of waterbuckets. Yuck.

I grew up on Cape Cod and now live in Newton. Cape Cod does NOT receive more snow than other parts of MA. Ever heard of the phrase "Cape Cod, only place in the northeast you can golf year round."

Unlike VT- the ground thaws alot quicker, so riding outdoors is only limited in Dec/Jan -March. I have been riding here my whole life and find the fall to be unsurpassed by any other riding season.

I have lived in Plymouth and boarded horses here my whole life. I know pretty much most of the farms around, including backyard type places. I also boarded at both Valinor and Riesling. Like any place, they each have their pros and cons. It depends on what you're looking for. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Depends on what type of barn you are looking for. I am getting a horse on free lease who is currently boarded in Carver, not far from Plymouth. So that barn will have an empty stall come October 4th.....
