Looking for unwanted leather items for art project

Anyone have any old unwanted leather tack they would like to have immortalized/recycled in a piece of art? :D

I'm looking for strap-type items (need lots!!), like bridles or pieces of bridles, stirrup leathers, martigales, even old girths, broken or crappy is OK, doesn't need to be good quality leather or anything. Color unimportant, size unimportant, any shape or size leather would do, though the longer the better. Looking for used and abused, broken and not worth repairing, any leather item that you were thinking of just throwing away.

I know I have some old stirrup leathers and a leather halter or two that I will never get fixed. Do you want them? I'll look around for more stuff. Since I can't seem to throw tack away - even when it's not in good shape, I should have plenty more.....

What are you making out of the leather?

I built wooden frames, then weave together the leather strips with recycled fabrics from Goodwill, etc. into a neato pattern. Fun colors and textures with the leather!

I have a whole box of old harness pieces, some very long, some not. It is big and heavy, was about $50 in shipping when I got it and that was a year or two ago. My project did not come to pass and I have been hanging on to it for I do not know why. You can have it for shipping costs if you want.:winkgrin:
