We did the BN CT at Kentucky Classique this weekend and ended in fifth! (A pretty pink ribbon to match my pretty pink everything! HAHA!)

She did great- dressage was a bit scary, but went MUCH better than it could have.
Stadium was lovely, except one fence... well... you saw it.
She was totally overwhelmed by the warm up, so I was scared going into stadium, but she was fine! She totally schitzed out in the ring, so I left warm up about 20 minutes before our round and just sat and watched with my feet out of the stirrups and someone holding her head. She chilled out and went around like a champ.
We schooled the BN XC course on Sunday and she was great! Scary course, but she flew (literally, flew) through the whole thing. She did have one stop at the water, but when we went back to do it again, she was picture perfect!
So, we have A LOT to work on (like brakes, for example), but I'm PUMPED!

We're still working out the details, but I think I'm going to take a friend's horse on lease. She's an AWESOME grey TB mare, 9 years old... I've taken her out schooling twice and she has no fear. I really enjoy riding her and shes green enough for me to enjoy putting some mileage on, but bold enough that I think she'll help me gain some confidence for my boy.

These are our first couple of jumps together after me sitting on her for the first time for about ten minutes- and her first time on XC.
I'm really.... really.... REALLY excited. :)
ETA: And that's post #1000! Two milestones!
