A friend of ours runs a summer camp program and she's seeking winter homes for her horses. I believe she has about 20 left to place. They are available from September 2008 - June 2009.

They range from ponies, to QHs, to TBs. All are used in a very busy lesson program, are used to children, dogs, machinery, cars, etc. She has a lot of nice, quality horses that usually do local shows, spend the winters at local lesson barns, some go to IHSA teams. A few even hit some of the bigger winter circuits. So not your run of the mill camp type trail ponies. I've taken a few myself over the years and have always enjoyed them.

Horses can be picked up mid-August 2008 and should be returned to camp by June 1, 2009. Leasee is responsible for all care-- vet, farrier, worming, etc.-- during that time.

Mister is fabulous, he came in 2002 pretty green under saddle and having only done trails! In the last 6 years he has spent time on several IHSA teams, and done the Syracuse PHA Circuit. He is adorable over fences!

Windsor is an older gentleman who has been-there-done-that.... He spent last winter doing the local H/J circuit and giving lessons at the area's premiere equestrian facility.

Fifi and Scruffy are two I personally love--

Fifi has schooled 4' and shown in rated stuff for years. She is a fancy girl! Hunter deluxe.

Scruffy is one I rehabbed myself 6 years ago when he came to us straight off the track in horrible shape. He's turned into a solid citizen who has spent every winter since giving lessons or doing IHSA. I just want someone to fall in love with him so he can be "their" horse.

Anyway I could ramble on forever about these horses... if anyone has questions about them or wants "inside info" on any, drop me a PM.

I can vouch for Herschel and Reno- Hersch is a lot of fun, lots of personality, and Reno is everything you want in a kids pony, super reliable. If they'd let me keep a horse in the backyard in the city, they would both be coming to me :).

Aww I love both those guys. :) Herschel has done 8 years at camp now and has never put a foot wrong! And I keep telling Mary I'm going to steal Reno for my daughter....
