Hello.
I have a fabulous green 5yr old TB gelding who is 16.1 and a half hands. he has a sweet, easy personality, and is an awesome trail horse. He is a hunter/ jumper prospect, and has gone over small jumps. I went a bit to fast with him and asked him to go over some 2'6 fences and one or two at 2'9. he was not ready, and learned to go around, so we are back at ground zero working with cross rails and two footers. he will walk trot canter and I have lightly started asking for lead changes which come pretty natural for him. He is still green, but never looses his mind.
Unfortunately he needs about six weeks of very light riding as he has somehow developed a hunters bump. I am also going to have a chiropractor out to see if she can help at all. after 6 weeks he should be fine again and ready to get back to more serious work.
His only other issue is that he is very sensitive to fly bites and must wear fly gear.
He will be a super show horse with some time off and further training. I love him! unfortunately I am completely broke and have to decide between him and finding a place to live. I am staying with my mother for a little while, but also want to try to go back to school so that later I can afford my fabulous horse!
I would love for him to stay close, but I am open to out of staters as long as you can arrange safe transportation and can keep me up to date on how he is doing.
I simply cannot afford him now, so if you can afford to take care of him and have a great horse for a while (I may be open to up to two years depending on the situation) PLEASE CONTACT ME!!
thank you.

I want to add that I am not sure he needs six weeks of light riding. he has had the hunters bump for some time, and he is only a little off trotting on a hard surface. turned out in the arena he looks totally sound.
I will add pictures soon.
he is a super horse!
this is a great opportunity for someone to have the greatest pony (16.1hh pony) ever! Please write me!

He sounds like a great horse. Where is he located?

I cannot figure out how to post pics to the forum, so pm me with your e-mail address and I can send them to you directly if you are interested.
I also wanted to say that he is super easy to work with on the ground as well. He trailers quietly, stands tied (also cross tied and for farrier), doesn't mind water (being hosed down or swimming in the lake), is really easy to medicate (oral pastes, vaccinations, even eye ointment), lets you pull his mane...etc
I really don't want to sell him.
I would like to keep him for the rest of his life, but I just can't afford him right now, and would love to see him reaching his potential with someone who will love him for a while.
he would love to be a show pony. Isn't there a horseless teenager or someone who would like a young show prospect?
he could even be a lesson pony for more experienced hunter riders. He might like to learn about dressage if that is your interest.
PLEASE let me know if you are interested or know someone lse who might be!
thank you!
:)
