Ok, I couldnt let all those lovely dogs die now could I ????????? And so, off to the shelter I went.

NO ONE gives a home like a cother and so, Hershey and her puppy Mike were happy to take up residence here. All she has left is her one pup.

Hershey appears to be a red aussie mix and looks an awful lot like Fergie. She has the biggest smile on her face and I am sure, she aims to please.

Not sure yet how old she is but looks to be a little over a year. Her pup is about 9-10 weeks old.

Obviously she is not spayed but, if someone will give this terrific girl a home, I can have her spayed for you before hand. That will give me time to try her out with the horses or train her and teach her a few things about farm dog etiquette. Nelly and Rudy will help me in that dept.

If anyone can open there heart to a farm friend, please do so now. Hershey is a great girl.

You must post pictures!! Fergie got her staples out today and the vet on duty (new one) came out of the back just to tell us again how wonderful Fergie is. It seems that little Miss Fergie just marched herself into the back like she owned the place, rolled right over and stuck her legs in the air to get her staples removed. Cracked up the entire staff. They stuffed her with treats and made me promise to bring her in for visits... Good luck with the new ones. I was very upset when I read about the others:no:.

Hugs from Charleston

Well we know Hershey likes other dogs just fine. She didnt chase the cats although they are not sure about her for sure. They never are a new dog. While she barked at the horses, cause she is afraid of them, she didnt offer to chase any. She is a very bright and friendly dog and someone is going to love this gal. Her pup is spoken for thankfully.

I will get someone to post her pics so that you can all see them as well as the ponies.

I am so happy about Fergie. Isnt she just a gem and a half. How do dogs like that end up on death row??????????????????? If I hadnt had my wonderful Paris, Fergie could have stayed here forever but I do have Paris and I adore her. She just has issues LOL.

While it breaks my heart as well that there arent homes for all the dogs, I would rather see them put down than left like Fergie was. I go to the shelter whenever I can and save what I think will be a good and social dog. One that will get along with other dogs and the farm life. I havent had to return one yet and each one has gotten a home at some time or another. Hershey will too because she is trying so hard to be the kind of dog we all want.

Someone very special in my life lost there dog the other day to there own truck when the dog panicked in a storm. I am hoping that when she thinks of getting a new friend, she will be at my door. Hershey would fit her well but I think that might be a little soon. There will be another.

Finally, a beautiful pic of this sweet girl. What a face. Who can resist this face. Someone take this girl home and make her part of your heart and home. She will love you for it and SKA will be able to save more of these lost souls who are waiting for a COTH hom.

No one interested, bumping this up. On the 25th of this month, she will be returned to AC and from there, we all know what happens. That saddens me but I do know that I cant save them all.

Hershey is a great girl and she deserves a good home.
