Well I have acquired 2 kittens that I found on the roadside on the way home from an auction. Someone dumped them there in a box in 90 degree heat with no water. I couldn't leave them there, so I took them home. They are both females. One is black with a few white markings and the other is an orange tabby with a few white spots. The black one we think is a bit younger than the orange one, but how young I am not sure. They are old enough to be on their own, but I am not really a cat expert by any means so I really don't know. I was told around 6-8weeks by the size of them.

They are both very loving and are quite playful. I would like to find them a home together as they really enjoy each other. They were badly flea infested when I got them on Monday, but I have since given them 2 flea baths (with a kitten flea shampoo) and they had flea medication today. I really hate to see them go as I love having them, but my mom is very allergic to cats and cannot even come into the barn with them in the tack room without wheezing. Not to mention I was told when I began renting the property I have that under no circumstances was I to have a cat, but I refused to leave them on the road. So I really cannot keep them long term.

I wont let them go to just anyone and am looking for a responsible loving home for them (references a plus!). I would prefer them go to a house type situation over a barn cat home, but I will consider everyone. I would also really like to have updates on them, just so I know how loved they are. But I dont want to be a crazy obsessive person as they will no longer be my cats, I just would enjoy a little update every once and a while.

they are currently located in Newtown Square, PA. I can deliver them within a reasonable distance. I will be headed down rt 1 to Bel Air MD on friday if anyone along that route is interested.

Here are some photos of the girls

they will come with a bottle of kitten flea shampoo that I bought them as well as a big bag of Iams kitten food. I also bought them sparkley pink cat collars (the ones that come apart if caught on something) that will go with them.

If you know anyone looking for kittens, please pass this along

OMG...they are too cute! Do you think they could be barn kitties? Are they litter box trained?

they could be barn kitties .. i just would want to make sure they would get like a 2 week acclimation period of being in a room so they learn to stay at the farm and not run off. they are so precious .. and too brave for their own good:D

and surprisingly they are litter box trained! it was a total shock to me as i expected a mess in my tackroom the first night. but in the morning there was nothing. and when I let them out into a stall for some play time they both ran to a dirt corner and went. the poor things held it all night! I did leave them a box with straw, but they didnt get it. I got them a litter box yesterday and they are using that.

Adorable!

Most kittens come "pre trained" to use the litterbox, unless they lost their mom very very early or have a medical problem. Unlike puppies, kittens are taught to use the litterbox by their mother and it's very, very natural/instinctual.

Good of you to pick these gals up and I hope they find a nice home. I just rehomed the stray I found and she was driving my existing cats NUTS... so I am not in a position to take any kittens, but I'd be happy to share the adoption contact if you want one.
