I looked at my current horses scores on the USEF website, and they are incorrect. Not only are the classes wrong, but the number of entries, the date of the show, the placing and of course no points.
What has everyone found as the best way to correct the error? I looked for a correction page with no avail, so I emailed one of the "horse recording specialists" I am sure I will receive a response soon but untill then, I am looking for what others have done.

May I suggest that you send a letter of you problems to the USEF Dressage Committee including your efforts to correct the errors and how long this takes.
Your case is an example, shall we say a "leading indicator," of potential problems with the implementation of a qualifying rule as it was last defined.

Updated: Both contact email's bounced back to me. So I will have to call tomorrow. Why do they have email if the email doesn't work?

From USEF's website ( on the page for points)
"Please direct any questions or inquiries to United States Equestrian Federation, Attention Sport Data Department (corrections@usef.org (corrections@usef.org)). While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information displayed, United States Equestrian Federation assumes no liability to anyone for errors or omissions. Any errors called to our attention which result in a verified correction will be rectified promptly. "
Just curious. USEF doesn't maintain any dressage points other than what is used to credit sires. They also maintain a results file for each horse separate from any points.
PHR maintains some awards for dressage and DSHB but that is separate from USEF.
So I wouldn't expect to see any points for dressage classes on USEF's results report.

since there are so many errors, maybe the scores are for someone else with the same name.

Well one of the shows I went to in the beginning of the year has Sonesta riding Dreamstreet at the show (she is listed as owner) and well, Sonesta was at the WAZ clinic 200 miles away, so she is super talented!!
I left it cuz I did not care. I had a bad score, so Rebecca can have it! LOL

Equine Canada has a few problems like this as well.
I found that some of the problem was EC and some was that the shows had not summitted scores.
I ended up having to go to the individual show records and my receits for proof of placement.

I've now emailed the USEF twice and spoken on the phone to them once about the fact that they have my horse's name, breeder and sire's name completely wrong. I've sent them copies of his registration papers (which resulted in them changing his breeder's name from the correct name to the first owner's name...) and I just get no response.
I guess I'm going to have to call again and be a witch about it next week.

Yes pluvinel, this is another point to bring up to the DC. I'm sure we could find many with similar problems, but that would be mean.
atr and JRG: would you be willing to document this so it can be submitted to the DC, in regards to problems with the current version of the qualification proposal? I think we should gather it up together and submit a letter to the DC as well at COTH editor.
**Sigh** this is yet another reason why, if you want to qualify riders, it should be done in the riders remarks section of the test itself. Straight feedback to the rider on the day of the test -- with a "punishing" overall score in the 50s for the abusive rider. (Meanwhile, please note 50 is still sufficient to the FEI even if the rider is embarrassed to death at such a low score.)

Oh dont get me even started there!!!
Our stallion has several offspring that are 100% lifetime with the USEF, his sire name is listed and the points are listed for the horse, yet in the sire of the year stuff, its not listed. Or they spell his name wrong and ther are two different ones, etc. Its a mess!! I dont take the listings at the end of year very serious after I realized how wrong they were. But.... its also the owners responsibility to make sure the info is right etc. Ken at the USEF is doing all he can to get it right and is very willing to work with people, but it is a mess, IMO.

Pinetreefarm, thank you for that link it will help in the future.
I promptly recieved an email today, and my email was passed on to someone that can help me. Then my email was passed onto someone else to reverify the data submitted.
I am told this should take about a week. I didn't call yet, because I felt that my email has been reviewed.
I will wait the week and report in.
As for being a part of a letter, I won't mind. But I would like to give the USEF a chance to resolve the issue. I think that is only fair. My husband tells me it is the "Canadian part" of me that is so diplomatic. He says if it were him, and paying for the "service"(he knews how much money I spend in memberships) as it were he would have raised heck.
Just a side note, when I fill out my show entries they are all downloaded and typed with all the membership information on it and spell checked, as my writing is along the lines of a doctor...barely legible.
I will keep everyone posted.

Fair enough. Ken Ball over there is great, no sense giving him any more problems, any complaints will probably end up squarely (and undeservedly) on his shoulders. USEF may appoint USDF the data keepers anyway for the new qualification standard, the more I think about it....
Well, best of luck.

Update: They sent me an email that they are contacting the show secretary. I have already been in contact with the secretary and they didn't even have a show the date they had put on. Anyone that attented the Hawk Hollow show on July 9th, check your scores please.

Best person to call at USEF regarding your horse's information is Melissa Lawson. She is very thorough and cares about its members. She has been with USEF for many years.....you will not be disappointed.

As promised, an update:
While I was on vacation, something occured to me. The show in question, was in fact a show that I had scratched. It hadn't occured to me because I scratched and it was so long ago.
I sent that information along to the USEF, and let them know that the USDF had the correct shows and scores. They emailed me today, saying they have rectified the problem.
Just to note, it is almost a month to the day.
