The mare is 5yo w/filly at side. Mare had race training, but didn't race because she toe out at the ankle. Filly is second foal. First foal was small and didn't survive. This filly is small built (under 200 pounds at 3mo), toes out like mom and is over at the knee. Mare also does not produce enough milk. SO this mare is not a broodmare candidate.

Mare small built bay, almost 15h, is sound and should be okay as a trail horse with training. Filly will likely always be small, but should be able to be a childs horse.

Pedigree will be given with no-breeding contract. Owner wants rid of them soon and has said to euthanize. Barn owner is trying to find home for them. I'm working on getting photos.

This thread makes steam come out my ears. I hope they find someone smarter than the asshat who bred her in the first place. Bumping for a real home for these two. Also, not that is really matters, but the mare is bay not chestnut if the pictures in the link are of the correct mare.

The mare is lovely. What a beautiful face. And the foal is a cutie too - I love that they are both looking directly in the camera.

You've come to the right place to find them a home. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, I've been trying to correct that. I hadn't seen photos yet when I first posted.

I'm guessing that she probably has a pretty strong pedigree... only problem is that I think her branch needed to be trimmed two foals ago (the little lost one and this one).
