To be honest I only stalk this forum, as I have zero experience here. I'm mostly in the Hunter/Jumper stuff.
But what I would love to see are you foal pictures and maybe a picture of the stallion you used. What qualities did you get? Did you get what you were looking for?
I'm just interested to see what gets passed along and oogle at the pictures. :D
Thanks!

These babies are all by Redwine. I got a consistent improvement in the head, neck and a shorter back. Better temperment and improved hunter movement.

I think our Londonderry filly from this year looks just like dad...cool thing is they have almost identical markings. The blaze is very similiar and they both have that tiny hind white sock, though this filly is greying.

There are quite a few photos of his get in this album - http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y271/elrawle/ and on our website (but it is in the middle of an overhaul).
Consistently throws - stronger loin connection, better engine, excellent rhythm, good elasticity, improved bone & neckset, correct limb formation.

This year we have 2 fillies...both by Waldaire...Tasker posted his pic in the post above.
We have one chestnut filly that favors Waldaire and one black filly that favors her dam.

Windlass (Winnie) got a more "dressage-y" neckset, heftier build
Wynona is a bit lighter in type, neck sets on a bit lower, flatter/more hunter-y gaits to Winnie's more uphill dressage-y ones.

Here are some pictures of Bas Blanc, the sire of my stallion prospect, Sir Bas Blanc. Sir Bas Blanc was Bas Blanc's first foal. Bas Blanc is a liscensed Selle Francais.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm271/Dressage-Forever/Cracker-hunter.jpg
(I took the first two pictures of him, he is 18)
Here are several pictures of Sir Bas Blanc. Thats the highest I've ever jumped him, because he is young. And I've only done that a couple times, I can't wait until I can really see what he can do! He turned two in February of this year, and is out of a NASFA approved Thoroughbred mare.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm271/Dressage-Forever/triscuitjump.jpg
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm271/Dressage-Forever/Triscuitjump2.jpg
I see so many similiarities between them. Sir Bas Blanc ("Triscuit") has the same huge, powerful canter as Bas Blanc ("Cracker"), as well as big overtrack in the walk. Trots are very similiar as well, although I think Triscuit may have a bit more shoulder freedom. Head shapes are both very similiar, and conformation is very much alike. Their temperments are IDENTICAL. Cracker has such a lovely temperment, so willing, wants to be with people, and takes everything in stride. Triscuit has been the easiest horse I have ever worked with. Right now, as a two and a half year old stallion, he remains so easy and willing. Not a mean bone in his body, and ALWAYS wants to please. I walk outside and he whinnies, just such a lovely boy. I have another filly by Bas Blanc, and she has the same amazing temperement (and she is out of a HOT mare). UC Davis owns Bas Blanc, and he is really a neat hunter/jumper sire.

Exactly. Too much emphasis is places on the stallion all too often. I will say, my 2007 filly looks more like her Daddy though.

What's funny with him is he throws his head. Only the Trakehner mare managed to get any more white on her kids(who both have very similar white facial markings!) ALL the others have just a tiny star, a few hairs of stripe, and a snip...
But he definitely stamps them. The four solids could be clones they are so similar. Of course, the damlines are mother/daughter, and nicely linebred *Alladdinn, so it's not by chance... ;)

This is my stallion (Cadence) and 4 of his offspring, then for laughs, a very pre-potent (bay) mare and 3 of her offspring. All 3 kids have more bone than her, but their faces and movement are hers! I bred my TB mare (http://web.centre.edu/dajones/pages/Babies%20Mom%20Spencer.htm) to the Trakehner Stallion Hennessey and got two very different babies (http://web.centre.edu/dajones/equine.htm). That said, take a look at the bay on my website and take a look at this picture of her daddy (the one trotting near the bottom). :D
http://www.broadhillrunfarm.com/hennessey.cfm
It's been pretty interesting comparing the two full-sister and what they got from which parent. The chestnut has her mothers disposition and more her movement but more dad's build. The younger one has more mom's build but dad's movement and personality. It's really been fun having two totally different full-sister.
