Posting this for Heather-both of these mares will make outstanding sport horses.

I need to find good homes for my 2 saddlebred mares. Both are very nice and have good temperments but I have to make the hard choice to keep my house or keep my horses and the house is going to win. Both mares are green broke but with a little extra time (that I don't have these days!) will finish up quickly. One is a 6 year old bay mare sired by Dakota Thunder and out of Magic Sparkle and is registered. The other is a 5 year old chestnut mare by Sultan Shamrock H and out of Fashion's City Lights although we don't yet have her papers, they are still working on them. The chestnut mare was part of a private rescue from KY several years ago so she is a VERY special case and that is one of the reasons her papers are not completed yet.

If anyone is interested or if there is a local (north or south carolina) contact please email me privately at DPebblecreek@hotmail.com. I'll be happy to email pictures and more details as well.

Thanks,
Heather

I sent an email to the address above. I am VERY interested in one of the horses. I'm in Charlotte and could come out this week. I have a belgian and my QH mare is having pains of old age set in. I've been thinking about getting a younger horse to deal with and have always enjoyed riding saddlebreds. They are such smart horses and so graceful.

Yes, they are wonderful!I believe that the mares are at least 15.2, but I am waiting for confirmation on this. Please feel free to email the owner directly at the addy above- I am just posting this here to help her along...

Just wanted to bump to say these mares are beautiful. I visited them yesterday and am happy to say the Bay will be coming to my house hopefully within the next few weeks. The chestnut, Janice, is a stunning mare and very well built. Heather and her husband are super nice and really seem to care a great deal about their horses.

I would just like to thank all of you that have responded to the originial post about my mares. Maggie, the bay does have a new home but is waiting on some paper work before she leaves. Jancie, the chesnut is still available but that might change soon. I have a 30 year old retired broodmare that is close to the end and if we put her down, I will keep Janice. This will be a hard decission to make and I'm not looking forward to it but the old mare is starting to drop weight and leave food behind at a time when she has always been at her best. This is not a good sign and I think she might be trying to tell us something.

Thanks again to all of you!!!
Heather
