Our most beloved "Hayden" suffered a fractured elbow last winter from a kick by his pasture buddy. We have very, very, very carefully treated him per instructions of Tufts with monitored stall rest and hand walking. Current x-rays show him healed however we don't feel he will be up to w-t-c and jumping and certainly not in a lesson program. He is currently able to be walked under saddle for short periods. This horse came to us beautifully trained in dressage and was also a terrific, catty jumper. He has THE BEST ground manners and is a very sensible horse. He is not spooky. He is very friendly and obedient. He is 18 years old and small in stature (15.3). He is a dark chestnut and nicley handsome. He loads, clips, ships - excellent manners all around. He may be able to go on short walking rides around the farm - he is a forward going horse. No buck or rear or spook ever. This incredible horse has allowed our students to jump their highest jumps, done a flying change for the first time, performed a real extended trot (to die for) and learn all the lateral movements as well as jump cross country, show dressage, hunters, jumpers and equitation. We are of course putting the word out to our alums but if anyone has the perfect situation for this well deserving horse, I would be forever grateful. We are located in Massachusetts. Please contact our stable manager, Jennifer Wilda, at (413) 538-3234 or respond back here. Many thanks.
