I think I'm going to go, finances permitting. I'll be bringing two: Mr. Joey Starbuck and Mr. Dickens Unforgettable.
Of course, with Emmett Turner's baby in the 2008 class, I know I'm not going to win. () but heck, it'll still be fun!!!
Who else is going?
Oh, WAIT. I forgot the countdown ... I'll put it in my signature line! :)

We plan to go...we're bringing our yearling colt, Heart's Safari, and plan to bring the two foals if they are not already sold, Heart's Sorcerer, Safari's full brother, and Heart's Whisper. I think we're taking Safari for the week and doing the Yearling colts, produce of dam, and RPSI(IBC). Sorcerer will go on Wednesday to team up with big brother in the produce of dam, and both foals will do RPSI on Thursday. (This is making the wishful assumption that I will be able to find someone to help us hold horses outside the ring for RPSI!)

Not me!
Too far.
3.5 hours of driving, in each direction at $5/gallon for diesel, I don't think so...

Too rich for my blood this year!!!! First time in last three, may come to help out others, but in a gas reasonable ride! Koda is very disapointed...

We will be there. Haven't missed a year since 1989! WE were planning to take our '08 Santano/Roemer colt but his new owners (from Michigan) don't seem to think that it is necessary. Oh, well. we will bring a Jazz yearling colt and our 3 yr old SirSinclaire/ Zeoliet filly. Look forward to seeing you all.

I wish I could go but it is a bit of a far drive from Texas! However I may be going with my friend and her stallion, SonntagsKind (Sandro Hit/Donnerhall/Rubinstein) just to help out. I've never been to DAD and I am so excited if it works out!

Oldenberg Mom,
What happened to your lovely stallion prospect? I still have his framed picture next to my computer at home! Did you sell him?

The leadline class is part of 'family day' at Dressage at Devon. One adult gets in free when accompanied by a child 12 or under. The shopping is still good as is the competition.

I hope to bring one of my 2 foals to DAD. The way its looking now, I will probably take my Starlight (OLD) foal. I will see which one is at a nicer stage when the entries are due. Ifigure there will be so many Sinatra Song foals there, I'll take my Starlight b/c there are only a few on the ground this year.
When is the family day?. Ooohh the leadline class sounds fun!!! Lisa

I will be bringing SPA/EM Diotima and her Royal Prince colt and my yealing filly Panache EMF (Pablo - EM Ghlycerine).
So, for me, it is a BIG year at DAD as this is the most horses I have brought (still realing from all the entry fees etc). At least I am only 55 miles from DAD so gas will not be too bad.

Since Lori K. is contributing to this thread, maybe she can help me with a question I have...
Yesterday I received a letter from the USDF inviting my 2-year old Bardot S. E. to compete in the USDF Breeders' Championship East Coast Series Final in the Filly Championship Final class. They also listed Patsy Albert as contact for a prize list.... Patsy told me that Lori, you are the lucky person for the breed division. So, what do I have to do next?
Thanks for your patience!

If Bardot S.E. goes, I may have to drive up. : )

I'm going to Dressage at Stone Tavern, and I may go to Devon with my 2 year old gelding. The logistics are difficult. I'm two hours away, our classes are first thing in the am. I hire a hauler, so I can only attend shows when we can drive there and back in one day. To make it a day trip, I'd literally be braiding at 4am, and I live half hour away from my horse.
Having said that, I wanna go :-).

We are trying, especially since we have some qualified for the East Coast championships...... depends on selling a horse at this point.. since I had a horse in ICU at New Bolton off and on for 18 days of the last month (and 5 round trips) the prospects are looking bleak for my own, but showing a friend's Wistar 2 year old for sure..

Bummer MRF! We are actually thinking of going ( I know, I always say I would rather get a gallstone than go to a breed show!) since it sounds like there will be some really fun people to hang out with, and now you might not. I hope things work out for everyone!!;)

Siegi,
Go to the Dressage at Devon website at www.dressageatdevon.org (http://www.dressageatdevon.org). Click on 'prize list and entry forms'. All of the information you need to enter is right there. I'm surprised that Patsy didn't just point you there. I look forward to getting your entry. If you have questions, you can email me or call. lori_kaminski@verizon.net or 302-545-8855.

Sporthorsefilly, how on earth do you come up with 3 1/2 hours to get to Devon from where you live? It should be 2 1/2 hours max from your place. It's not even 3 1/2 for me.

You probably drive faster than my other half. He always drives below the speed limit. We went in pouring down rain, and hit weekday traffic exiting the PA Turnpike. Probably more like 3 hours.
Even at 2.5 hours isn't worth the hassle, add in the almost non-existence of trailer parking, no not me, thanks.
Saving my $$ for Hunter Breeding next year, and the two stud services I will need, next year.
