Has anybody bred to him and have babies on the ground? I have a mare in foal and am very excited. He is a young, relatively new stallion- so not tons of offspring yet. Let me know if you know anything about his babies.

Yippee! My mare is stunning, as well. She is a Dutch Warmblood with great bloodlines, so I hope they make a great baby together!

A good friend of mine has a LOVELY filly on the ground this year that just went premium at her inspections. Very good type!

We bred a Calido I mare to him this year. Can't wait to see the foal!

She is sweet, very flashy, an exceptional mover and very large!
I had actually thought (hoped) that Cabardino might throw a smaller foal, but not so. The dam is 17.1 and I suspect this filly she will be closer to the dam's size than the sire's.
You can see her on the news page of my website: http://www.paradisefarmmiami.com/page5.html She is the 2nd one on the page.
She is 4 months old now and just earned premium scores at her AHHA inspection.

What a gorgeous filly. How old is she in the picture?

Paradise- she's beautiful! My mare is 15.3, a small junior and I think Cabardino is 16.1, so I should get a baby that matures close to 16 hands, I hope. I hope I get a bay like you!!!!! Did she get the white markings from your mare or from her sire?

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
Ava P was about 6 weeks old in the photo, she is now 4 months. I will be updating the website one of these days with some pics from the approvals, but she has shed out much of her her baby fuzz and is growing like a weed.
I think the chrome comes from Cabardino more. Although my mare has a similar star to her filly, she has no other chrome to speak of -- and Cabardino is loaded with chrome! I suspect he is a sabino, he has a belly spot and white to his lower lip.
The size thing blew me away. My mare is 17.1 and I was hoping to scale her down a bit since Cabardino is on the smaller side, but that was not meant to be!!
Should also add that Walch family are terrific to work with and the semen was great quality.

We are also in foal to Cabardino!
I LOVE the video of Clementine on Charlot Farm's website-- she is DARLING!
I told my pony kids at the barn I'm hoping for a Clementino (boy version!)

What exactly is sabino??? I know I am a little clueless here!

yes, Cabardino's owners have been great to work with and his semen was great quality. My mare did not ovulate for a few days after insemination, but showed pregnant on the ultrasound at 12 days. We check her again on Monday at 40 days... hopefully all is well!

I'm no expert, so please forgive me if I get it a bit wrong...
Sabino is a genetic color marking that manifests in lots of white. It is often characterized by face markings that extend over an eye or chin or onto the lower lip, high white stockings which can be over the knee or hock and belly spots.
I have "met" Cabardino in person numerous times and I think he has this gene -- he has white over his muzzle and onto his lower lip and a belly spot.
Congrats on all your upcoming foals!!

ITs only slightly wrong.
That is a louder form of sabino.
Sabino is any white marking on a horse that isnt from a pinto pattern (such as frame splash or tobiano.) However the only ones who are normally called sabino, as in bay sabino, black sabino, etc etc, are the ones who are loudly marked.

Has Cabardino been showing in the a/o in Canada this summer? I remember Jennifer O'Neil showing an amateur horse a few years ago, but she didn't do him herself in FL.

Cabardino has been showing in the older adult amateur classes this year in Ontario.

Thanks arizonard. I thought Jennifer would start to show him herself, but figured she would do the a/o. Didn't realize she was an older now either! I do remember she rode well when she showed in the states in the past, glad to see she's doing well with him.

I had a beautiful Cabardino filly this summer. She has a major attitude though (not from the mares side)! The first day alive she was trying to bite, charge, and kick at us...but after LOTS of handling she is now a total sweetheart.

I "could" be wrong because I have been wrong once or twice in the past. I had heard a couple of weeks ago that Cabardino had been sold.

Just heard from Charlot Farms- that is a rumor, he has not sold...

Do you mean sold in FL or sold again since then? Because he's been competing under Jennifer's name since February, and finally has a USEF registration this year for the first time, under her name.

I was procrastinating a little bit and decided to hunt down Cabardino's approved son Cabalord. WOW. What a jump! I wish they had some side-on conformation pictures of him...

Cabalord - He is very line bred, or inbred, to Cor de la Bruyere and Lord. I suppose to consolidate the bascule and jump. Just wondering - on a Holsteiner peidgree, how much is too much? (On my mare it would be five times to Cord and three times to Lord for instance).
What lines would be best for him....all you knowledgeable breeders.
