I am looking for the owner of this pony mare which I bred some years ago. I need to find the owner. Please if anyone knows how to find her, let me know. Thanks.

thank you very much for the information.

In fact three of my home bred German Riding Ponies are in USA now. They were sold in a package to Canada and the lady sold them to US riders or breeders. The other two are named Fraulein Caprice - a filly that was doing well at Devon some years ago - and a colt named Corriander that is gelded now. You can see the respective sire's and dam's of them under my Foals 2000 page: http://www.gestuet-falkenhorst.de/gffoals2000.html

That is great. I am actually leasing a WB mare you bred, Nootka, who is now in the MMB Weser-Ems and in foal to the fancy Welsh pony Mardi Gras for a 2009 Weser-Ems foal. Bechamel had a Mardi Gras filly (perlino) several years ago that in now in a GRP breeding program (Fox Creek in Kansas). I belive this daughter is currently in foal to the New Forrest stallion Forrest Flame (approved Weser-Ems) for a 2009 foal.
I think Bechamel was in foal for 2008...so you are making quite an impact in GRP breeding in the US;)

given the fact I only started breeding German Riding Ponies because my son did not want to deal with the ponies I had, I am quite pleased with what they have become. I do still have Valerina, dam of Caprice and Ariane, daughter of Valerina and dam of Corriander. Valerina is old age now but had a nice filly this year.

BTW I did not breed Nootka. She was bred by a friend of mine out of a Mascarpone daughter which I now own.

Wow Gwen, how cool! I had no idea that you were her breeder.

She was one of Mardi Gras' very first bookings, and had a beautiful perlino filly that is owned by Dianna at Foxcreek, who has bred her to use in her GRP program.

Interestingly, I believe Fraulein Caprice was booked to Mardi that same year, but did not settle. I can't remember who owned her, but it sounds like you've already gotten all the info you needed. :)

I think someone that write for or owns a magazine owns Fraulein Caprice. We had contact some years ago but I lost the email address when the old computer crashed.

I wrote to the owner of Bechamel and hope to get a reply soon. Thanks for all the help. The internet can really be very helpful at times.

I know of the perlino filly as the owner is in contact with me.

Gwen -- I think that it must be Virginia Banks/The Equine Marketer who has her, then. That was who I thought it was, but wasn't positive.

Jeanne, who owns Bechamel, is a SUPER nice lady. She's been just wonderful to work with over the years. She has a Mardi Gras colt out of an Olymic Ferro mare this year that is just gorgeous. I'm sure you'll hear back from her in short order.

Yes thank you so much, I now recall the name Virginia Banks. Do you have an email for me via PN please? Now I only need to find Corriander the gelding as I had a lot of contact with his owner too. Getting old, cannot remember names....

Fraulen Caprice had a beautiful filly by my Holland imported welsh K stallion - in 2007. I believe the filly is going to do dressage at Devon --but do not quote me on that-- her filly has been doing wonderful on the line in PA in pony hunter breeding.
She is owned by Virginia Banks in PA.

I have never contacted her via email--but I will be happy to phone her up to see if she minds if I give out her number. Would you like me to do that?

Bechamel had a colt this year by Lateran. He appears to be a dark buckskin but is getting DNA'd to make sure. He has been purchased as a stallion prospect by one of the trainers at my barn.

Bechamel was up here in Livermore for training for a while (till she got too pregnant!). She was a really nice mover, just had class written all over her.

Interestingly, Jeanne was the one who convinced Dana Estes to purchase the stallion Worthy Opponent as a gawky yearling. Jeanne owns his dam, the Hohenstein mare Hoheit, and bred another stallion prospect from Hoheit who will be presented to Oldenburg/ISR this year. She's also bred several horses who were in the top 3 in the US a couple different times in a couple different registries.

She's a pretty good stallion-mare matcher-upper!!

It looks like I can be proud of my ponies too :D

Now only Corriander needs to be traced.....
