So I have a cute PC type horse for sale, but am not in PC. I never went through the whole PC process so not sure where to advertise or if there is a list of DC's that I could e-mail. Is anybody here associated with PC that could help me locate a list of local PC's or offer any tips on where to advertise such a horse?
He would even make a fantastic large games pony but no idea where people look for those.

You can advertise on the US Pony Club website:

Also on the USPC site there's a list of DC's in the different regions. Find the region you live in and contact the DC's of those Pony Clubs, and maybe contact the REgion or PC webmaster to put a classified on their site.

Thanks for that info, I will look into contacting them and perhaps sending out an e-mail with pictures and a description.

Usually if you send the ad to the RS (regional supervisor) with a request to distribute, the RS will do so (at least ours does).

If I can offer a tip, if you are a non-pony clubber make sure that you say why this pony would be a great games pony. I say this because anytime I see ads from non-pony clubbers stating this, it's typically because the pony is fast. They also need to be extremely tolerant. Also, games ponies are typically smaller because the gamers are vaulting on and off quickly, or bending way over so closer to the ground is a plus!

I will definately give reasons for why he would make a good games pony. We actually had a girl out from back east (family member of a boarder) about a month or so ago that rode him while she was here that loved him. She does the mid level games (forgot the term she used) and said he would be great at it. I thought he was a little large at 14.3 for that as well but she said because of his build he would be easy to vault on and off. I find him easy to get on and off but I am also 6' riding 14.3 so I basically just swing my leg over and am on top. Scared to ride him without stirrups thinking my feet might hit ground ;)

Well is he a pony club pony...or a games pony. They aren't the same thing. A pony club horse is a good all round, anything you could imagine doing type horse...who could also do lower level games, but not a straight games pony. Games ponies are typically just games ponies.

Eventingqueen- not necessarily. I was a C advisor for a little D1 at our regional rally this year, and she got second on her very reliable, all around pony who she also took to games championships! Her older sister also events and does games on the same pony. So maybe these ponies are the exception, but they are out there!

Ok, there are those exceptions out there...so maybe I shouldn't have worded it like that.

Well I am not limiting him to one or the other as he is still not a completely finished horse so I think with training he could go either way. He is already a great pony club horse as he has done a bit of everything. We started him as an eventer so he has a pretty diverse background.

I like what Eventing posted (her comments) about a PC pony vs games pony.
She said a PC pony was able to do all around pony club activities to include low level games. A D1 is going to play Novice or Jr games--(you said little D1 so I assume she is young) btw--you can't go to Championships in games unless you are a D2 and 10.
A games pony is one that is straight games. I'd generalize those ponies for Sr or Advance pairs--and is not something that a little D1 could handle.
I find that sometimes people who aren't PC think that all hot little ponies would make great PC ponies. This is not the case. A sane, safe pony is the preferred mount in any club. People will pay for a safe pony.
Games ponies that only do games tend to go for very low amounts. Even your top games mounts. So price correctly.
