and he just arrived this morning! He is such a star! He is 14 yrs old, had 144 starts, and ran three times this year. He looks great, and seems to have a wonderful brain. He is enjoying a few hours out in the not so sunny KY weather. I can't wait to see how he takes to his new career.

This is Mariatom, aka "Thomas"

Thank you....thank you! He was a gem for his spa treatment this morning, and it is very obvious that he came from a great barn at Penn national.

congrats and good for you for taking a chance on a "seasoned" horse. So many of the older guys get passed up and if they stuck around that long, there is usually good reason! The owners are great people and take excellent care of their horses. I am sure they would love updates! good luck with him!!

He is very handsome. He looks in great condition.

Did they race him with a pulled tail?

Thanks everyone!

He actually comes from a good racing mafily and has quite a few brothers and sisters that did very well on the track....I might have to track down a sister!

I gave him the spa treatment an hour after he arrived....mane pulled, tail pulled and banged, bridle path clipped, etc....

Heres to hoping that he likes to jump!
