Hopefully this link will work: http://www.kimseversoneventing.com/news.asp
Kim posted the olympic timeline. Which is really cool. Selections....shipping....England....Hong Kong.
First thing that I have read with dates indicated.

The eventing career of her Olympic hopeful indicates the horse won a training level event in the fall of 2005, which was only his 2nd competition, and in 2007 was competing at the 3* level and this year the 4* level.
Until recently I would have said that was amazing, now it kind of frightens me.

Yea but at least he has only had 2 20fault XC rounds in his entire 3 years at T & above. 1 @ Prelim and 1 @ Advanced. That is far better than most out there. Plus she did 7 prelims with the horse instead of the norm these days of 4 HT & a 3day at each level.
Plus, if anyone can move a horse like that it would be Kim. He is not a baby, he is 11 which is older than most 4* horses nowadays.

This is where an experienced rider/trainer CAN given the horse with natural ability, great training, good judgement ect is able to do something like this. Mary King has often had horses in their first FULL year of competing been able to take a NOV (US Prelim) horse up to the ADV (based on points ammassed). I think these are exceptions to the rule but doing this has had some great results. I am by no means advocating this speed up the levels, but not all fast movers up the levels have met with disasterous results.

And what had he done before Kim got him? If she got him when he was 8, he may have had miles with someone else.

She did once remark that he had only been jumping for two years and that was by her.

The timeline was up for a while on the USEA site (linked to the USEF document) but then I'm betting someone noticed it had Mark P's cell phone # (and Sally Ike's, and actually several others which probably aren't public) on it and down it came.
Seemed like you pretty much have to have your life arranged totally so you can fly out from the Fork - and also have plan B in case you don't. That's a lot of life organizing to be doing while prepping for selection trials!

It was up on the USEF site for public viewing for quite awhile, but came down for other reasons ;)... although I'm sure Mark probably wouldn't like his cell # shared (however, I hardly noticed it). It was really interesting to see their timeline, and I'm glad that Kim S. posted a very similar version on her site.
By the way, Jeannette - nice website! Is it new?

Thanks! Yes, brand spanking new. Still need to write text about my graduate young horses, and put up pictures of students, and sale horses, and, and and, but I am proud of what's there, and lucky for the fabulous tech help and poking and design work which made it exist! Thanks for peeking, and commenting.

Jeannette, I too enjoyed your website and your liberal arts training philosophy. However, the editor's daughter feels the need to point out in the first paragraph of your bio, there should be a period rather than a comma after DOC's name. At least that's what I had to do mentally to make that run-on sentence work for me.

Well then, where were you when I was in school? I would have paid you to proof read my papers...hell I would have paid you to write them!!!

Good catch on the typo, AM. Thanks! I was trying to differentiate between people who wouldn't claim me as a student but would recognize me on the street (like Artur Kottas and DO'C) and people who would have no huge reason to remember me but have certainly influenced me through their clinics.
Actually, need another edit there, because Bobby C knows me, but can in no way be blamed for my riding errors. Punctuation and communication - more complex than one might imagine! ;)
