Expecting a Quilot Z (Quickstar/Pilot) foal in a few weeks, need to find some good names. Dam is by Frappant out of a Willem's As dam.
Any suggestions? "Q" is a tough letter

Thanks for the suggestions! No grays in the immediate family.....so Quicksilver would be out, but it would have been a super name!
I think I like Quasar so far (hey, that rhymed!)
Interesting that someone mentioned Quebec since I work there  I live in Ontario and work on the Quebec side....so definitely my co-workers would LOVE it if I picked that name!
I also don't mind Quiambo and Quadrille....

I am expecting a "Q" baby fairly soon (momma is the "Q" -- and this will be her last foal, so I am going with "Q" in honor of her.)
Anyhow -- I have a both a colt and a filly name that I just LOVE......so when my baby is here....I will pass along the "extra" name.
yup -- "Q" is a hard one!! (That's why I am being so stingy with mine!!)

Lets see, I have Quite an Honour who was the dam of Quite an Evening who is the dam of Quite Honourable and Quite an Eclipse. Her sisters were Quite an Angel and Quite a Decision. That last one was because I couldn't think of anything else so it was a hard decision!

Yes they are all TBs. Quite an Evening is by Evening Kris out of Quite an Honour, that one was a no brainer!

OMG some of those names are hillarious!
I might think of something that starts with Quite....that would make things easier.
LOL...Royal Monaco, I work in Gatineau  This foal isn't born yet so still a surprize in terms of sex.
AHEM....Eclectic Horseman....Quite Canadian....thankyouverymuch

I like "Quite Canadian!"
The "Quiet American" that I was referencing is a famous novel by Graham Greene. They made a film out of it, too--the most recent remake was in 2002 and it starred Brendan Fraser and Michael Caine.

We stood a tb stallion years ago. His previous owner informed me that all of his offspring had been named with "Q" names so we decided to continue the tradition.
WE learned to be pretty creative with the names, but here are a few:
Quattro
Quinn
Q
Qaty (pronounced Katey)
Qat (pronounced Cat)
Qntessa (contessa)
Quantico
Quiet Finale (this was his last foal)
Qlypso (calipso)
and then there a a few that I loved from prior to us owning him:
Qntender
Qnsice
Quick
and my all time favorite: Qyrghyz (I assume he was owned by a homosexual couple??)
Best of luck to you and remember, "Q" without a "u" sounds like a "K". Have Fun!!!!

Congrats on your filly Cold Spring Farm!
Well my mare FINALLY had her foal last Monday (July 14th) at the respectable hour of 11:30pm in front of a crowd of 6.....one of them was my 12yr old daughter who was amazed at this whole 'giving birth' thing
She had a fabulous filly, barn name Holly and registered name will be.......**drumroll please**......
Quotation Z!
Here are a couple of photos, although not the greatest as she was still un-folding
