I was looking at who was approved in the Jumper breeding program for Hannoverians and For Play caught my attention..

I went and checked out his website and he has an awesome jump and a really cool pedigree.. love the Grundstein in there and the Acord II.

I also find it very interesting that he is out of the same motherline that produced For Pleasure and that is also his sire.

What do you all think??

I thought he was interesting too. He was on my short list this year and his owner was very nice and great about promptly answering questions.

I am looking forward to seeing some US born offspring and watching for his accomplishments in the jumper ring.

Spruce Meadows has the name the baby contest every year - this year they had a foal to be named by For Play.

funny that this thread just showed up, as we were just discussing For Pleasure prodigy on another forum I frequent. This is my question....what other sons of For Pleasure are in North America besides this one and Futurist?? Any??

One other that is up and coming at Charlot Farms - they have a new stallion called For Sandro... For Pleasure x Sandro..

I lied - Spruce Meadows used a stallion called For Jump, I'm almost sure, not For Play. Sorry, name confusion.

Didn't For Pleasure just pass away? I was sorry to see that, he threw some lovely hunters.

No, For Paragon stood HERE in Canada, not in the US!! He was at www.osjs.com he belonged to a good friend of mine (and the rider of my stallion) Isauro Flores. And yes, he did pass recently he had an accident in his stall.

This guy just recently caught my eye as well ... he seems to really have the total package going on. Can anyone tell me more about the For Pleasures temperment wise? Also are they known for putting on size?

My breeding friends in Switzerland love For Pleasure, but she did tell me that he is not known for putting on size.

From what I have been told, For Pleasure is not a size producer, refined compact and athletic offspring.
