My camera didn't handle the shadows under the oaks well. Seems like a good excuse for the new camera that I want to buy! LOL

Fabulous pictures, thank you so much. I truly can't believe they could be any better. I was so furious the breeding classes were NOT filmed this morning. You have eased that pain.

You didn't happen to shoot the Non-TB Broodmares did you?

Thanks Chris, for getting photo's of Oak Hill! We did the Get of Sire class along with Capital Hill (sired by Nob Hill) and won it!! Junior handled Oak Hill and Kenny handled Capital Hill. My boy also won his yearling class and was Res. Champion behind Capital Hill for the Championship class. Very proud mom!!

Thank You ! I Also want to congratulate Rheinland (Anna) on her 2nd place win in the 2 y/o filly class. That was very competitive!!!

A yearling filly that we bred was 7th in the 2yo Filly class. She is by Private Key xx out of Chelsea Small Talk. This was her first time ever in a trailer, her handlers first time ever showing, and she was the only one to pin in this class that was not handled by a pro. We were thrilled to say the least!

Huge Congrats to Hunter Rider on Oak Hill's win. He is beautiful!!

What is the Silvio baby's name? I missed him showing.

Hi Chris
You didn't happen to shoot the Non-TB Broodmares did you?

Unfortunately, we were enjoying our waffle breakfast at the B&B too much and got there just a bit late. Missed the first two classes!

Chris- how do you make the image smaller? It came out too big when I tried to use the link!!!(LOL)

Hi Mary - we only took one today; Private Diamonds. This turned into the week from hell. Very long story, but it left me physically and emotionally drained. Chelsea and Preacher are great and they will both be at Warrenton in August. I really wanted to see the foal class to see what he would have gone against, but we were running a little late and the classes went very fast!

They fit nicely on my screen so I am not sure. Anyone else having this trouble?

What is the Silvio baby's name? I missed him showing.

The chestnut 2 yo with the flaxen was named Ferrari. Breeding wasn't listed, but the people that knew the horse told us it was a Silvio. I paid particular attention to that since you have also had some nice Silvios.

The Silvio colt looks like the Fiore's. I think he is out of a Hill of Gold mare.

Hunter-rider, cogratulations, I saw your colt at Devon and even though he placed 2nd out of the huge yearling class, I thought he should have won it. This win was very much deserved, and he is absolutely breathtaking in his movement. I am sorry I could not make Upperville this year, but will definately be there next year. For everyone who competed at Upperville this year, I give my hats off to you for enduring such terrible conditions when the storms passed through. I have family in the area that was without power for several days. I understand the weather for the breeding classes was much better than earlier in the week, except for the heat. What lovely babies to put up with all of that!!!

I wonder why they didn't list the breeding?

Your camera is great!!

Actually my camera sucks! I just have a little 3 megapixel camera. At Devon I got to shoot with a really nice camera (owned by Gina Dinovi). After spending 3 horse show days with Kathryn Southard and picking her brain I think I will have to buy a really GOOD camera!

Chris, I just got a Cannon SD850 tiny camera. It is 8 MP. My photographer friend that owns a "real" 10MP Cannon just loves it and is about to buy one for herself as she is tired of missing the shots when the $$$$ camera is safely at home. It is a nice option if you don't want to carry around a large camera.

Thanks so much for the photos! You got a really nice pic of my TB broodmare which is great as I was too heat stroked to remember my camera.

Chris, gorgeous pictures. I rarely get pictures of mine in the ring. Kathryn Southard emails me some when she is at the shows. Thanks so much for taking them!

I'd love to know...

A point of interest comparing the devon to the upperville classes....

Hint of Gold, who got 6th at Devon, won at Upperville
Endulgence, who was 4th at Devon, got 5th at Upperville
Celtic Gold was 6th at Upperville and was 2nd at Devon

I'm not suggesting anything, all of the horses are so lovely. Those All the Gold babies are doing well though!

I just got back from a Upperville and will sort through my pictures later and post an album - I took notes on all so at least I can label who is who!

It was delightful seeing all the good looking babes and congratulations to those here who owned some of them: sorry I didn't get to say hello to any of you owners - I was in the ring and didn't move (too hot to move much anyway )

Congrats to all of the winners and competitors. It takes an awful lot of work behind the scenes to get these beauties to the ring.

LBH, thanks for posting the photos! They are great. I looked thru the ones from Devon and Upperville but sadly did not see any of the 2 that we bred in all of your shots.

Maybe someone else got some pictures of Posh (2 yo nonTB filly 1st Upperville/2nd Devon) and Endulgence(nonTB 2 yo colts 4th Devon/5th Upperville)? I would LOVE to see them, since I have no current photos of them, and possibly get copies?:):):winkgrin:
