I have a Graf Top ll mare, registered ISR/ONA who I bred to a Welsh A pony. ISR/ONA won't register baby because they don't take A welsh ponies.
This is an exceptionally nice pony stallion, Carousel's Publicity, with flawless conformation, breathtaking movement, and proven producer. I'm sure he can be approved if I can find a registry who will accept the A welsh. Any ideas...maybe GOV? Galleri, the dam, is very nice and I'm sure she would be accepted by GOV. TIA

RPSI & AWS both will approve him no problem.

What a smashing little horse!

Weser-Ems (Oldenburg - GOV) accepted the Section A stallion Telynau Falcon. However, if the stallion you bred to has not been inspected and approved for Weser-Ems breeding, they are not going to accept your foal for registration. You may be able to get a COP but even then, you would have to present mare and foal at an inspection. I would contact the office for more info.

The stallion has not been presented to GOV but I have an inspection near by so I was hoping to present him, mama, and baby, all at once. Carousel's Publicity (the sire) is too old to go to a 100 day or 30 day test, so I was hoping they would give him a one time pass, or limited breeding approval, of say 5 foals. I've heard registries will sometimes do that. I know it's a long shot.

The little black pony is the sire and he does have other lovely Sportpony offspring.

I bred Galleri to him because I didn't want her having a Bravo baby at 4 years old. She was a maiden and Bravo's babies have been very big. I just didn't want to take the chance with her. Also, I used him for a teaser all season and he needed a date. Not the best reason to breed, but they are a very good match. Also, he has breed quite a few full size WB mares with outstanding show winning offspring.

Here's a few WB mare crosses to Carousel's Publiciy- This is not an advertisement for the pony stallion. I'm just showing you why I decided to breed to him and what I am aiming for. His Sportponies are fabulous!

Here's a couple pictures of the filly. The photos are terrible just like all my attempts at photography. I think I'll name her Caroursel's Whisper.

oh, what a cutie! It's funny to see such a little foal next to a big mare. I bet she's a lovely mover.

What does that have to do with this though? This filly would be eligible for Half Welsh papers with the WPCSA as long as the Section A sire is recognized by the WPCSA.

I think the OP is looking for a registry and inspection to take both the mare and filly to, and sire as well, so that the sire and dam can get approved and the filly can get full papers. Whether the WPCSA had a part bred registry or not would not affect this filly as she should be able to get Half Welsh papers regardless.

.

here is a person looking to value add to a welsh part bred(as in spend some ching) ...the best we can do now is a 50%...I think it is time to do better...:) and stop giving the Welsh Blood away to every new "sport" group in the world...they were already "sport" ponies across all four of the Welsh breeds....long before the GRP and the BRP and <insert letters here> were founded/formed....

best

I am hoping for full papers on baby and I am willing to spend some money (Wait.....let me see if I have any) to present mom, sire, and baby together.

I should have thought this out before breeding but it was kinda a unplanned pregnancy. I was using Carousel's Publiciy AKA Tonto, for a teaser. At the tail end of the season, Galleri started giving Tonto the eye. She was 3 years old. I didn't want to breed her to Bravo (babies too big), and Tonto needed a date. We already knew what Tonto produces so I called Tonto's owner and said, "Tonto wants a date." So Tonto's owner jumped in his car. 1 hour later, Wha-la, baby on the way.:D:D:D AND....one happy pony!!

And no, I don't plan my other pregnancies like that but Tonto is an outstanding teaser pony and he had earned his date. the tricky part was getting a 12.2h pony onto a 16h mare....but that's another story.

Chris, you may as well give it a shot. Even if they turn him down, you could probably get a COP for the filly once the mare has been inspected into the mare books. You will definitely need to talk to the office first, though. They have to pre-approve all stallion candidate pedigrees before inspection.

Oy, that's a bit confusing. Doubly confusing since someone from Canada just announced the formation of a North American Riding Pony Registry. Good luck trying to sort the two out!
