Here's a few pictures to share from tonight :). Wasn't doing anything fancy. Just some putzing around in front of the house. We have another endurance in a week so I plan to just do a couple of light fun rides between now and then.

That sure is one good-looking mare, and so perky and happy. Will we see you at Palmyra then?

These pics kinda make me want to get back on the Arabs.. don't tell my QH!

How are you liking the Bandos? Weren't you having slippage problems with it? Did you get that resolved? It looks lovely on her. :)

What beautiful picts. You both look great together. One question; what kind of bridle are you using? My guy (arabian) chews on his bit continuously and I am considering trying a bitless to see if it might help. He does not try and evade the bit, I think its just nervous energy.

My advice: Make sure his teeth have be floated and depending on how old he is that his wolf teeth have been removed! :)

Auventra Two, thank you posting those lovely photos. Both of you look like you are having fun. Makes me wish I could condition my little black Morgan mare for endurance again but my job has become crazy lately!

ALaCarte, what bit are you currently using? My Morgan used to constantly chew on a KK double jointed loose ring and it was driving me nuts! I switched to an eggbutt french link and she stopped. I guess the loose rings allowed too much 'noise' in her mouth and she is a very sensitive horse. An eggbutt mullen mouth (single piece but curved) might also be the answer.

She's very pretty!:)

What kind of saddle/pad combo is that - is that the Bandos? What kind of pad? I know you said Toklat, but could you be more specific? Is there a website with info? I love how cushy it looks! I have a Freeform with a HAF pad, but might be looking into getting a different pad.

Oooh, I'm waiting for a cheap felt pad that I ordered online - how on earth do you cut that stuff??!!

A2: Great pictures! Looks like you 2 are really enjoying the Bandos! I have to get pictures of Traveler in all his gear-but will soon!
My adventures with the side-pull set up on his trail halter came to end after one lesson where he paid me no attention! No I have a happy mouth mullen eggbutt and we seem to be doing well with that:) I would love to get a hackamore instead, but I'm not sure if it will hook up to the trail halter...neither I or the trainer are particularly familiar with them, so I will be holding off for a while yet.

Beautiful gal. I like dark bays. You two look like a team and are well matched it seems.
Keep us posted on your ride results.

It is just too hot here in NC to ride unless you do it at 5 am or 9pm! Highs in the 99's.
