My 4 yrs Canadian horse and I went to the show today. We arrived yesterday, walked around with the greenie, schooled.

He was great ! A true gentleman ! We got 55% on average, with a 5th place and a 3rd place in Intro.

I had chemio last week so by the 2 nd test I felt at lost for energy but my young chick was cool with me. I rode him on long reins, I did not want to mess around in his mouth. He was looking and I just tried to complete each test on a positive note. We even got a 7 for the walk ! Hey !

Here some pics ...I am not a great rider but that show was important to me; it was my response to my cancer. Like Thomas 1 said and I agree a 100% I am too busy to be sick !

My goal was to have a good time...and I did !

I did experiment some fatigue for the second test and thinking if my young horse was having a fit, I would be in trouble. But despite being terrified by a grey horse in the warm up, he was more relax (Thank God)

I was supported by great people, my husband who was so proud of us ! That was really a good day !

Wow, love the first picture with your huge smile. And your impeccable turnout!!!

You have done something alot of chemo patients can't do. And I'm 100% convinced that horses have a HUGE impace in our ability to make it through difficult times.

Congratulations! You should be very proud of yourself and your horse!

Thanks everybody !

I do like the first picture myself ! It was after the second test and I sware...I was sooo happy it was over !
I was so thirsty...

Chemio drugs change us a lot...outside and inside. I manage my riding to cope with this along the year. But lets face it, I don't have the same strenght, the same energy so there is things you have to let go and still enjoy. I am getting zen with this disease...

You look great! It's wonderful that you have kept riding. You will inspire me now to get out to the barn with no excuses!! Keep having fun and I wish you all the best.

Thanks !!!!

Being hill is no fun...Any disease. It is a challenge to discipline myself and I always look to do something...even 20 minutes is an accomplishment. Sure, it takes me a lot to just walk to the barn and I am so happy after.

I think an inch taken out of the disease is a winning inch.

Horses know I am sick and nobody has ever threaten me in any way. Even the young one.

The doctors warn me not to touch animals...I never listen to this and never caught anything from them.
But I don't alloud anybody to kiss me, even on cheek !!! I believe people carry more contaminations on them than horses. I keep the barn clean, I have latex gloves in case and that is it.

If my posts give hope to people affected by disease, I am happy. We all need hope, we all need to refer to someone. My hero is my mother who is living with a multiple sclerosis and she is such a fighter, over the years accomplished so many things that I had to at the least fight a half of what she does !

Many thanks for your comments !!!! You are all so nice people !!!!!
