Two mini-donkeys need to be re-homed and kept together.

One is dark bay, sweet girl, her name is Lily. Larger of the two.

Painted grey, nice but submissive, his name is Stewie. Rather small.

UTD on shots, vet care, farrier, etc.

Owner wants them to have a nice home where they can get the attention they deserve. They both currently live on a half-acre to an acre lot and construction is about to take place.

PM for pictures.

as a companion for my draft cross when i take the TB off to shows. I have a friend who is also looking for one. We're in Central Va though. Will they deliver? Why does the owner not want them seperated?

Thanks

They have been together since they were litte. One is 4 and the other is almost 5.

They are both registered and absolutely precious. I was playing with them earlier and they started chasing the little guinea lawn birds around. It was so funny!

I know whoever takes them will have to arrange for them to be picked up/delivered. They live in a community with 1-4 acre tracks and they don't have a truck/trailer.

There isn't an immediate rush to rehome them. She just wants to make sure its to the right one. Kids are getting older/busier with school & going abroad to Europe for school. Donkeys were their pets and she wants them to get more attention. That's all.

They are well taken care of and loved. Sad to see them go. But, its for the best.

How noisy are they? I am looking for a companion(s) for one of my horses when I take the other somewhere. We have one regular donkey in our neighborhood and he is very noisy, couldn't live with that! Are they good companions for regular size horses?

Could you please send photos and more info on these mini-donk-donks? I live about 45 minutes from Austin and am interested in them.....

Thanks,

they probably should stay together. i have heard that alot of mini donk breeders will not separate if they have been together a long time.

They aren't too noisy at all. They only talk when you come out to play with them or feed them. Its just out of excitement!

They've been raised together and I don't think they'd do well without one another. They seem to be sensitive little creatures.

Lilly just puts her head in your lap and falls asleep while you pet her. She is so sweet...

I'll email pics once I get back to Austin.

I'm back from my trip...

Here are the pics I took. Sorry they aren't the best...they're off my Blackberry.

The painted one is Stewie (ungelded) and the bay is Lilly (female).

Still interested....

How tall are they? Have they ever had any donkey-foals together? I'm assuming they both have negative Coggins....

Thanks!

We can make room for a couple of dunkies! We are in Buda, and live on 80 acres. I am a farrier and we also do organic gardening, with plans to expand once we sell our listed 10 acres. Our best laid plans are to open 2 times a week to the public, and wanted to get a couple of small animals for the kids to pet and love while they come out to "the farm". We have 2 goats now that are just super pets, 10 very special horses and a very rare tx wht dunkey (she says she's rare, and we believe her!) We have lots and lots of refs, both vet refs and personal refs, and would be happy to give them a home together with lots of attention and carrots and treats!

Please email steph.paige@gmail.com if you want to come visit and see all our animals. We take great pride in our husbandry and love our animals like family.
If they still need a good place to land, we're here!

Here is how the owner's (both are my bosses) want this to work out.

1) You MUST trailer them yourself. We cannot transport them because the owners don't have a trailer, I drive a sports car, and we all work 6-7 days a week.

2) They are both registered. The papers will transfer over when they go to their new home.

3) They are UTD on shots, coggins, farrier, etc. They are incredibly easy to handle and follow you like a puppy. I don't even need a lead half the time. When they see you coming they run as fast as they can to say hello. They are the sweetest

4) Stewie IS NOT gelded. You can choose to geld him if you wish.

5) Lilly has NOT ever had a baby mini-donk. She probably could.

Great news for the mini-donks...

Their owners have decided to keep them because they purchased a large ranch but weren't exactly sure if it would go through. But, it did so the donkey's will be staying with their family but somewhere a bit more open instead of where they live now.

I am so excited...

The ranch is well established and has arenas, horse barn, spring fed ponds, etc. So, it will be a great place for the animals and my bosses have said they are planning on adopting some horses in the near future as well!
