I don't think your horse Schattenlady (GER) cared much for that slipped saddle on his back, nor the impact with the inner rail during the German race and clearly was willing to try anything to get it off him - or is it her? Not a lot of details regarding the horse from the articles.
Images on the links; the horse is said to be be fine

Oh my God.
I hope that mare has a chiropractor! She'll need an adjustment or two after that body slam!
Poor baby. That's where a breast plate would come in really handy -- no overgirth-turned-bucking strap!

WOW! I am very glad that both seem okay - however I can only imagine that this poor horse should probably see a chiropractor or something :(

Wow. At least she's unhurt. Bet she'll be sore, though.
And thank God the jockey (apparently) exited stage left before that.

The horse may be ok in so much as she doesn't have life threatening injuries. No way in hell is ok in the "alls well" sense of ok. Those are some incredible pictures.

I opened up my daily mail today to be greeted by a full page glossy of this poor mare. A different picture to the one in the racing post. That's unbelievable and how she isn't hurt I will never know!

Holy cow.
Though that last picture in the first story, she really does have a "Uh...meant to do that. Really." look on her face.
