A friend of mine bought a pregnant mare in poor condition a few months ago. Her horses live at my house and she asked me tonight to try and find a home for the weanling. She has a home for the mare. She had planned on keeping them both but she has some personal issues going on and needs to place him.

He is going to be weaned soon as the mother is still in pretty bad shape. She is unable to eat hay or grass as she has severe problems with choke . We cannot get enough calories in her to gain weight plus support the foal. He has been haltered but still has a lot more to learn on that front. I will continue working with him till he finds a new home. We do not know who daddy is but we do know that he is full QH. The sire we were told he was by is not the right one (wrong color). It had to be one of the other QH stallions he stood. His dam's name is Cross Chilly Nite

References will be required and I will pay to have him gelded out of my pocket to insure it is done before he leaves here. Feel free to contact me if interested. Thanks.

I will try and get more pics of him soon. He is going to be very stout

Pics available through email. Or if someone is willing to post the pics for me that would be great.

Located an hour east of Dallas, Tx.

Where are you located? I tried all day logging in yesterday and couldn't. :(

I'm not far from you (in Kemp!). I definitely DO NOT need another horse, but she is cute, cute cute!

Dang, wish I'd seen this soon enough. My mare still wants a buddy, and I *finally* got my own trailer so I can do something about it. :(

I am looking for another horse to use on the trails around here and would love to have a gelding, dont want to buy a horse right now or at least spend a lot when there are so many out there that need good , loving homes. I wish I could take em all if only I had the space( I know I know typical complaint of a horseman ) Anyways I have been looking for another horse such as an unrideable retired pasture companion for my girl, as she is an only horse right now and I want to get her a friend to hang with so if you have or know of anyone who has such a horse I would LOVE them too. Email me at mohorseman77@yahoo.com
