I have a 23 year old Appendix Quarter Horse that is free to a good home. He needs front shoes and is suitable for light walk/trot work. He is a very sweet boy with impeccable manners. His previous owners said he was fabulous on trails however I have never trail ridden him so this is second hand.
In his younger days "Nick" did the AQHA circuit and has earned several ROMs according to my QH friend who looked him up.
I bought him as a lesson horse several years ago and he has been wonderful , however , while he has done nothing bad I can tell by his expression he is growing weary of being a school horse and think he needs to be someones "personal horse". I think he still has a lot to offer someone as a light riding horse , companion or pet . He is as solid as they come on the ground and can easily be caught by a 7 year old child , cross tied and tacked up.
A great home is a must and I would require a contract that in the event someone no longer wanted him he would be returned to me or I at least approve of his new home. He is a very good boy and I want to be sure he has a good home for life.
