What's the actual time of the race?
I don't think I can stomach any more fashion/actresses/Hugh Heffner, but I don't want to miss it!

NBC has such lousy coverage. I want to see stories on the horses!

yes they do have lousy coverage. I haven't liked it since Boob Costas was upset that Secretariat was declared one of the greatest atheletes of the last 50 years.
I have been watching ESPN and occasionally back to HRTV as they are the ONLY ones who seem to put up breeding on every horse, every time.

Bearcat, post time is 4:04pm our time.

And, yes, NBC coverage sucks. I wish they'd either get their act together, or pass it on to someone who will provide the coverage we want to see.

I haven't even seen or heard mention of Frank Whiteley's passing! Seriously, you'd think someone would say it. I don't give a rat about the celebrities who don't know a tail from a mane!

Was Boob Costas a typo or intentional. I can't stand him, he's a moron.

they left ESPN up till 4 central, so we got to see the undercard. I do not know why NBC won't cover them. Honestly their coverage sucks big time this year! worse than usual. I mean they always cover the fashonistas, and that is ok, but good grief! I get tired of them asking every knucklehead who's gonna win. They are supoosed to be professionals, surely they can do better,
ps and yes I did mean Boob Costas....

Did I just hear him say that they're all carrying 150lbs or so???

These commentators suck. Just sayin.

I agree - interviewing an actress who couldn't name even two horses in the race. Someone tell NBC. I went and washed my kitchen floor.

The coverage of all the celebrities was horrible. Sad to say but I actually turned it to something else for the first hour of coverage.

I heard that all of the colts were carrying 126 lbs, Eight Belles was carrying 121. I could have the exact numbers wrong, but the filly was definitely carrying 5 lbs less.

Think it would do any good if we all sent emails to NBC asking them to do something about the abysmal coverage? I know, probably not - but it might make us feel better.

And Billy Bush? Why was that whole thing even necessary?

The only thing remotely funny about all the "celebrity" nonsense was when the interviewer (whoever he may be) asked the Heidi from The Hills if she knew any of the horses. She couldn't name even one until somebody off screen gave her a name. What a cypher. I knew only Bo Derrick. Oh, and Michael Jordan. The rest of them were personna non recognizabla.

I'll write to NBC and beg them not to do such a farce again.

ESPN did a fine job of actually covering the race, horses, trainers, etc. and that's so much of it for me.

Kuddos to them!!! Excellent coverage!!!

Done - wrote to NBC expressing disappointment in the celebrity nonesense. Liked the horsey coverage, though.
