Just a quick message here among the breeders, there is a shorter Stallion Service Auction with some very very cooll stallions going on right now, today through April 30th over at www.trakehners-international.com with all proceedings donated to Darren Chiacchia's fund at the Equestrian Aid Foundation. For those of you who wonder who that is, Darren is one of the US' top eventers and was badly injured in an accident during the Red Hills Horse Trials in March of this year. We're all pulling together for him right now - this auction is a major online fundraiser.

The stallions we have are:

ArdCeltic Art (Connemara), Abdullah (Trak), Apache (Trak), Bel Espace Go (Trak), Blitz & Donner (Trak), Catherstone Liberator or Catherstone Springsteen (British Sport Horse), Condios (Holsteiner), Donaudeen (Trak), EH Michelangelo (Trak), Eisenherz (Trak), Favian (Trak), Future Illusion (British Sport Horse), Grand Prix (Trak), Hennessey (Trak), Horalas (Trak), Huno (Trak), Kar Mar Buck (Welsh), Khalif (Trak), Kovington (Trak), Leonidas (Trak), Magritte (Trak), Malachi (Trak), Marcato II (Trak), MacGuigan or Mersely Mon Captain (TB/Holsteiner), Pavarotti (Trak), Prelude by Mozart (Trak), Prince of Prussia (Trak), Puerto d'Azur (Belgium WB), Radscha (Trak), Rubinesque (Trak), Salute the Truth (TB), Schiffon (Trak), Sonset's Sieger (Trak), Stiletto (Trak), Tagaelen (Trak), Tanzeln (Trak), Titulus (Trak), Tradition (Trak), Tzigane (Trak), Weston Justice (TB), Windfall (Trak), and Zeus MV (Trak).

Many of these stallions are approved by multiple registries and almost ALL of them offer their service not only for 2008, but also for 2009 should you chose so. If you haven't deceided for the year - or always wanted that one stallion anyway, NOW is the time to go for it!! Help us help Darren get back to his old life!

Thanks!!!

Yes, some really nice stallions.

I skimmed it. I didn't see what the minimum bids are.

I think it would be tremendously helpful if you would spell out "Stallion Service Auction" in your title. To me, "SSA" is Social Security Administration! There are too many abbreviations used on the internet, many of those abbreviations having multiple meanings (Example: SO = Stallion Owner; SO = Significant Other).

The more clear your title, the more interest you will get.

Lots of stallions with 350 minimum bid still available...stock up for next year for that price or change your mind for this year?

Look at the bid on Abdullah....1,050 instead of $4k. Great value there!

If it is like the ATA auction they will contact you within the next couple of days. I think it was the same webmaster for the ATA auction and I had the same login information without re-registering. If you received an out-bid notice that will give you the answer for sure.

I was out-bid 3 minutes before close of auction for one of the breedings but believe I won the breeding to Blitz Und Donner. :) We'll see.

I think it was wonderful, by the way, for all these people to come together to make this fund-raiser possible for Darren whethere they were organizers, donors or both. There were a lot of stallion services and other miscellaneous goodies being auctioned.

Thanks. I tried emailing them and haven't heard back. Good luck on your breeding (it wasn't me bidding against you!).

OK, you should have received a confirmation email when you placed your bid. In that email there is a link to check your status. Click that and it will be the page for the stallion/item you bid on. At the bottom it will show the high bidder and it will say that the auction is closed. I'm taking it that what you see there should be correct.

That would work if I actually saved the emails....oops.
