Do any of you have you have one going under saddle? I have a 2yr old who is real easy to work with on the ground. I'm really wishing he was 3 so could ride him. I would love to here any of your story's about your 3yr old's and how they are doing.

The 3yo I bred has been lightly started and I'm told is doing fabulously. They adore his temperament. I'd post pics, but it's a sales page and I don't want to get in trouble.

I actually am a little worried they are doing *too much* with him at such a young age, but the rider/trainer works with Leslie Webb... so I hope, hope, hope they are careful with him.

the gal who has mine has him ready to go and she's looking for a trainer in PA to start him in dressage.

Mine is about 15'3 he is 2. I would post pictures but i dont know how. I love everything about this horse. He loves people and is just happy to be with you. When he sees me hook up the trailer he get's all excited and can't wait to get on and go for a ride. My mare just runs the other way. I have heard nothing but good things about Sempatico foals. They all seem to have that great temperament.

My two have amazing temperments, as well! The two year old is absolutely regal. She just has this incredible presence about her -- and the most bouyant gaits. She is going to be a blast to ride!! And her favorite thing is to put her chin on your shoulder and close her eyes while you rub both sides of her muzzle.

The yearling is a character. Doesn't miss a thing and will notice you coming out of the house from quite a distance -- and stare you down as you drive down the driveway and past her paddock. Awesome gaits like her big sister and just oodles of personality.

I just get such a kick out of the two of them! (Oh -- and to answer the inspection question -- mine were both GOV premium and each called the best moving foals at their respective inspections.)

Would love to see some under saddle pics of some other Sempaticos!

You've got to be so excited! My Sempatico colt was just born 10 days ago (2 full weeks early!) and he is the most awesome guy! He's super affectionate and so smart! He already lets me pick up and clean out all 4 feet. We'll be going to the Oldenburg inspection in August.

I'd love to see some of the ones under saddle. I periodically search www.warmbloods-for-sale.com and do a search by Sempatico and I've seen one for sale there under saddle.

PintoPiaffe - If you can't post the link can you PM it to me?

I'm just getting ready to start my 3 year old. She is an amazing mover, so I can't wait to ride her. I have three Sempaticos(and have bred and sold two others) and all have wonderful temperaments. All mine have been inspected and all that were inspected as foals (four) were Gold Premium, three were the highest scoring foals at their inspections (the fourth was second to one of the above high scorers). We are currently keeping our 07 colt as a possible stallion prospect. The other two I am hoping to keep are fillies--a two year old and a three year old out of different mares. The three year old is 16hh at present, I expect she will eventually be 16.1 or 16.2hh. I don't have any current photos from this year--I will get some once she is under saddle. I love my Sempatico youngsters and the owners of the two I sold are delighted with theirs as well.(Homestead, inspection photos are on my website at heartofgoldfarm.com. I'm ashamed to say that none of the pages are up to date for the older youngsters;I even have some nice show photos of my two year old that I haven't gotten around to posting yet. Oh, BTW, Homestead, I have had three Art Deco daughter to Sempatico foals--all have been exceptional.)

I haven't had an update on mine from his owner since last spring. At that time she'd saddled him and sat on him (but wasn't riding him) and loved him to death. At 2, he was just a hair over 15.1 at the withers and higher in the rear. His dam is only 15.1, so I wouldn't expect him to be monstrous, but he'll probably at least hit 15.3-16 hands, I'd think. I would love to see what he looks like now - he was such a handsome colt!

Here is "Monte" about a month before his RPSI inspection:

I will try and take some pictures of my 2 yr old today. Is there a way to post pic's without being a premium member?

He also got premium at the inspections.

...and have adored both of them!

The first was 'Silhouette' a 2006 filly out of my mare "Rianna"....Silhi was sold to a Belgian warmblood breeder, and she simply LOVES her. I have pics on my website (scroll down the page --- it is a sales page, but this filly is SOLD) http://www.adonaiequestrian.com/for_sale.htm and on her dam's page http://www.adonaiequestrian.com/riannaprogress.htm

We also have a yearling Sempatico filly out of my MMB OLDNA TB mare that passed away prior to inspection, so we did not take Legacy to inspection, but I have pics here... http://www.adonaiequestrian.com/our_2007_foals.htm

Enjoy your 'Tico' babies---they are great!!

My girl is now 3 years and I am about to start her training. It is going to be a bit more of a slow appraoch with her as she is VERY smart but a bit emotional. When first learning things she can become upset if she is unsure of what you are asking. Once she has it though she is a quick learner and just really wants to please. I think she maybe prone to ulcers with her temprament so nice and slow. Also to she is just such a lovely, lovely filly and I don't want to do anything wrong with her (would be a long time un-doing it).

She is probably the best baby I ever raised (bought her in-utero from Marie at LJS Sporthorses) and have NEVER regretted this purchase (no tantrums ect with this one). She will do dressage (God does she ever float and just moves) and eventually the hunter or jumper ring. She is going to break some hearts when they ask if she is for sale and are told NO!

She is going to be one of those "once in a life time" horses. I would survive on Macaroni and chesse to keep her if I lost everything else.

This is great, love hearing about the older ones. The oldest I have had was a 2.5 year old that was here for a client, he is now at his new home. We did put tack on him etc. and he was very easy, I'm sure he will be a breeze to start.

I have gotten a few photos from breeders of older ones but would love to see more  I would love to get some for the website too!

Liz, I cant thank you enough for offering such a wonderful stallion. I could not imagine not having my Sempatico boy in my life. He is such a joy to be around.

I've bred two Sempatico babies -- sold both as weanlings because (sorry) I'm not into the spot thing.

But I have to say both were VERY nice foals with super brains & movement. If he produced solid fillies I might have kept one!

This foal ("Sef") was scored 8.3 at his RPSI inspection (winner), which put him in the top 15 of all foals inspected that year by RPSI. He is currently owned by an AA in California who absolutely ADORES him -- says he is THE easiest horse to deal with ever. She plans on making him her dressage super star in afew years.

He turns 2 this May.

BTW, the video has alot of footage of Sef's dam in the front part -- you need to FF till the end to see Sef.

Here's the other Sempatico baby:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOS7kAm6TB4

He was o/o a PB Arab mare who was accepted into the Main Mare Book of RPSI and was awared Gold Premium at his inspection as well!

He was sold to a woman in PA who is very active in the Arab show circuit and I believe he even won a regional in-hand championship as a yearling.

He will be three this year. She reported that he was also just a sweetheart to deal with.

I think Sempatico is really more than a "color" producer -- I really think he's producing alot nicer movment than anyone thought he would. And not surprising -- he is a Sandro grandson, after all.

Totally agree with you on this!

And Holly said pretty much the same thing at both inspections....that the Sempatico babies are the most consistently correct moving horses she sees! She noted that he and Rosenthal are the two stallions who really stamp their babies with a certainly look (spots not withstanding on "S"!)

And Liz -- the offer still stands -- if you have a few extra minutes sometime when you are in P'ville -- I would love to have you come by and see my girls!

OK, I'm on a different computer and had to google to try to find the link to PM to a couple that asked... BUT...

If you google "Malakai Sempatico" you get a WHOLE PAGE OF VIDEOS!!! I cannot see them at all (I have 28.8 dialup, believe it or not :uhoh: ) so if you watch them, you have to let me know how he looks.

He's a real love. After I lost his dam, I had some regrets that I sold him, but I know he will go much further and do more out 'in the world' rather than up here at the edge of the earth.

I toy with breeding one of my other mares to Tico. Her movement is positively stunning. I'm just afraid I'd end up with a pintosaurus since she's not small...(her dam was a full 17h) and this last foal of hers is aiming to be a keeper.

This is great to hear how nice the temperament is in the Sempaticos. I have a 2 yr old colt that we will be getting inspected and he has been outstanding in his behavior. The trainer can't wait to actually get to start him, but in the meantime he is actively showing in hand. Amazingly though, ours is going to hit 16.3 to 17h when finished. He is already enormous with so much bone........that must be the Cabaret in him. Good luck to everyone as they get started u/s. http://www.milestoneequine.com

Here's my 3 yo - just bought him a month ago unbroke - video is after five days ground work and less than 2 weeks under saddle. He is something special. One of the most "trainable" horses i have backed... Please turn down the volume though when playing!!
