While torturing myself looking at canter cuties and rerun cuties, I ran across this gal...

She seems a nice sort. Bling is gravy.

WOW! She could use a bit more neck, but what a LOVELY hip on a TB mare !
I can already picture the warmblood foals!

Iron Horse, I agree...breed her to a stallion with a NECK...
The timing is just altogether wrong for me...otherwise I'd snap her up! It's not so much the $$ with me, it's the having a place to PUT her...my new farm is still so much a work in progress and I REALLY need to invest my $$ into finishing the living accommodations for my existing horses before I add any more! At least that's what I keep telling myself!
Someone needs to go snap her up and we can form a mare-share partnership!!

I'm not familiar with Rerun. Are they similar to a Canter type org? And where is she and how much?

That picture was taken at Keeneland and it looks like she might have been sold by Taylor Made. I wonder which sale she went through?

I am not positive about ReRun but many of these groups wisely do not allow breeding. They have a hard enough time placing all the horses that need homes now and do not want anyone making more of them. Double check that is allowed beforehand if that is your intention.

Ok, so much for my self control...I went back to rerun and e-mailed the contact person for more info on her! Bad me. Will share whatever I find out.

YEA Katja! I will look foreward to the update!
LaurieRace, I had a couple from Canter that I approved for breeding with a major warmblood breeding org. They both had soundness issues from the track, but really good conformation. Neither one of them would have had much of a future if they could not be used for breeding OR riding.

As I said, check with ReRun as I am not familiar with their policies. They may have no problem with breeding, I don't know. I do know that the organizations who prohibit breeding will not make exceptions for unrideable horses. They either allow breeding or they do not.

Beautiful girl. Says she's had 3 foals on the site. Guessed her breeding the instant I saw her name. Her daddy's had some colorful foals.

She was born in 1997 and was unraced. She sold to Oak Lawn Farm for 5K.

I really like her. I have never been "into" tb's but always thought if I found a real sport type I would buy it. She looks to fit the bill. I live in Alberta though hehe..long ways. I hope she calls me back asap.

while she has color, her front end doesn't match her backend, methinks.

Wow, this mare is gorgeous. And I would have to disagree with you 3Dogs, I think her proportions are quite good! What a beauty, you guys down in the states have access to all the nice TBs, send them up north.

I really have no idea what a horse like this costs. I am guessing it will cost 1500 to get her here...she is what I am looking for though. We do not have these tb placement sites in Canada which is weird considering how many racetracks we have.

I think it her neck that throws off what appears to be a non-match with her hind end -
from a sport horse broodmare perspective, what do the gurus think of her pedigree?

Apr. 20, 2008, 09:44 PM
Adorable....if she never raced she probably was never ridden it is amazing what muscle can do for conformation!!! Agree with the neck needing to be longer but my guess is she would have amazing sport horse offspring. Also she is being sold by private seller not the adoption so I am sure breeding is fine...someone should snatch her up quick

She's not going to be cheap, she has decent enough black type on her pedigree.

I saw on another board that the owner wants $2,000US for her......not a bad deal at all if that information is correct.
Here is the link to the chat about her....scroll down http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com/horse-forums/i-need-nice-mare-breeding-more-than-187383.html

Very very much like this mare - a little weak in the loin connection but great angle in the hip for jumping. I hope whoever gets her breeds her for fancy hunter babies. I wouldn't throw her off my farm, thats for sure.

She sold for $5,000 when she went through the sales ring in 1/03. At the time she was in foal to TB stallion Souvenir Copy. (At least that's what her page says. If she had lost the foal it would have been announced but not noted in the results.)

We've shipped a number of horses from Alberta (near Edmonton) to the OH area and most quotes we've gotten both to and from OH are around $2500.
