I am looking for a horse suitable for some basic dressage, jumping and paperchases. paperchases are most important. Should be able to go out on trails alone (no fight to leave the barn) so I can practice.
must be over 15.1 hands. If the horse shows potential, thats OK, doesn't need to be finished, but must be broke that it is well behaved at basic w/t/c.
I am located in lancaster PA, so I would prefer the horse to be withing 2 hours of me.
Thanks!

glowponie, a paperchase is tons of fun! a course is set up on a trail, and there are jumps, with the option to go around them, and you are given an approximate speed to follow. Then all the horses for that division/speed are judged on who came in closest to the "optimum" time. The one I did last was at Fair Hill, MD on good friday, it was tons of fun. Its not competitive at all, which I love, and is great for a trail rider like myself that likes to add some x-country into the ride.

So a paperchase = a hunter pace? Sounds like it

could be. I'm not too familiar with the different terminologies, the ones I've been to have been called paperchases. Could be the same things people call 2 different things.

Still looking... will also trade for my TWH. I am looking to get away from gaited horses... I miss trotting.
