Gosh, I was thinking $100,000. Maybe I'm being too conservative.
Besides the stud fee, any guesses on where he will stand? Does any farm besides Darley have a chance?

If he retires as the all time North American leading money earner. I imagine he will be in the $150,000-$200,000n range. It looks like that is going to happen, so his book will fill easilt at that price.

Right now I'm thinking $100,000. Bear in mind that Smart Strike has only 2 other sons standing at stud, English Channel and Tenpins. English Channel is a 6 time G1 winner, including the Breeders Cup, an Eclipse award winner, and he earned more than $5,000,000. And he stands for $25,000.
As for the farm, Jess Jackson and Frank Stronach have partnered on a number of deals so it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up at Adena.

Curlin is the best horse right now. But other horses have done as much or more than him so I don't see why, at this point, his stud fee would be over the top. And being the leading earner means nothing. Curlin isn't a legend yet.

With his dam line from a logical point of view anything more than $50,000 would be too much, but I expect it will be more in the region of $100,000 if he continues to be a sucess on the track.

I figure since Street Sense is at 100k, he'll have to be more than that.

Street Sense's fee is only 75k.

$200K, since that's what Fusaichi Pegasus got, inexplicably, for his debut season. (Last year he was down to $75K). Amazing that Cigar only got $75K a decade ago.*
*Before they found his swimmers didn't swim, of course. ;)

The only thing amazing about Cigar's stud fee was how high it was. His pedigree wasn't exactly unfashionable.
FuFeg's initial stud fee was $150k, and while over inflated, it was set on the back of being a Derby winning son of Mr P, with Danzig as damire.
Curlin would hardly command a higher stud fee than his sire, who stands for $150k. Also, as has been pointed out, his dam side isn't exactly sexy.

After a poor year in 2007--only 3 stakes winners, ranked 80th on the General Sires List--FuPeg is down to 45K for 2008.
