Oh dear. Between OTD and seeing a lot of yak(s?) recently I thought I actually was going to see a spotted yak!

I was quite pleasantly surprised to see a cute little filly! Congratulations SM!

Your babies are gorgeous~!
Spotted yak or no, she's a cutie!

I loved the pic with your unzipped paddock boot in it - we've all been there on foal watch when WHAM! Slam your feet into those boots and run to the stall!

I scrolled down to see your yearlings and twos - WOW:eek: What beautiful babies! I bet "spot" will be a looker, too!;)

Congratulations on a gorgeous baby!

Awwwww, a St. Patrick's Day baby! Are you going to give her an Irish name?

She looks like she's going to be a big girl!

Awwww, y'all done good again!!! I'm not sure I ever thought about it before, but Candy is obviously a Splash and gave it to Emmy. Her face marking when looking head on is really neat!

Thanks guys! She isn't as big as last year's moose - more the size of the one (that she is marked like) the year before. She has only a little white on a hind coronet, but no socks, and her face white is very symmetrical - the rest is just like sis. They both are very floaty movers and extremely refined heads. This is her big sister Tundra as a yearling-

For those not "in the know", she is by may TB stallion who is the original COTH posterboy for Yakdom - his name is Mandate but I refer to him as Yak on BBs.

She's loffly! Yay for Candy!!! I so missed watching her on the cam this year! :(

I love that she's a St. Paddy's Day baby! That makes for all sorts of fun nicknames! :D

Is she as wild on the ground as she was in the womb? She hasn't knocked her mommy over since she's been outta there has she

Too cute :D

Candy is quite the producer, I guess the plans she has in store for you make it worth the while when she pops out cuties year after year   :)

Candy is something! I warned everyone about her and don't let people in the foaling barn until she gets over being so protective. Still, the barn worker tried to pick her stall on Monday (I KNOW I told her, but probably didn't say specifically that the stall should get done when they were turned out) and ended up with teeth marks on her back!

I just got in from turning them out and Miss Emmy is already a pro at leading to the indoor! She is a sassy, but sweet little thing. I need to switch out mom's feed bucket because it has become a toy for Emmy and I am afraid the little darlin is going to put her head all the way through and hurt herself! Mom has a "normal" corner feeder , but noone wants to go to the back of her stall right now(thus the bucket in front)!

This mare is an amazing producer, but I need to find her either a) a new home since I am winding down on the breeding end of things, or b) a new job. I am not breeding her back and if I don't sell her, will see how she takes to being put back under saddle. IIRC she was a really nice ride, but her quirkiness didn't make her a candidate to be a kid's pony. 5 babies later, she may have changed her mind!;)

Congratulations. She is adorable. That last picture of the two of them is definitely poster worthy.
