Does anyone have any photos or information on any youngsters by the Red Fox Farm stallion "El Dorado"?
He is a Perlino TB stallion standing in Texas

Just wondering...thanks!

Interesting timing win... Are you interested in breeding to him :D

We have just acquired El Dorado from Red Fox Farm. He will be joining us for the 2008 breeding season. I am just starting to get photos of his offspring to add to his page on our website. So for anyone who has any could you also e-mail them to me at postmaster@blazingcoloursfarm.com

One correction though; El Dorado is a Cremello Thoroughbred not a Perlino.

Win e-mail me your address and I can e-mail you some picts as I get them.

April can't wait to see some of his foals!! I can only find 2 that were live foal reports on his offspring on the JC site one in 2003 and one in 2006. I know you will be breeding a lot of mares to him now...watch out Sato...a new man is in town!!!

That makes three cremello TB stallions in Ontario Canada now...wow so many choices!!!

Congrats!

Congrats on getting El Dorado.

I have three of his foals. Here is the first one, a 2004 Anglo Arabian stallion. He is currently 16.2-1/2H. In these photos, he was age 2.

Great Pictures so far allanglos!!! Would you mind if I used some of them on my site? Perhaps post or maybe e-mail me is better(postmaster@blazingcoloursfarm.com) so I can get full descriptions and maybe pictures of the dams too.

Win; nice buckskin and what a jump!!! I can not post pictures anymore either so if it is okay with you I will post them on El Dorado's page on my site. I will e-mail you back.

BlondeFilly; he was not bred live cover a lot, hence not many Thoroughbred registered foals. RFF was not interested in having a lot of mares in for live cover so his shipped semen was promoted more. He was bred to quite a few arabs, paints and some WB's. And as for watch out Sato...:D... Nahhhh. He is the king Thoroughbred around here since he was my first dip into the coloured Thoroughbred world. And he produces fabulous foals!!! I may breed some of my mares to El Dorado but Sato will not be pushed aside :) I have 4 fabulous coloured Thoroughbred stallions to choose from now. All are quite different in type and bloodlines too (none of them are inbred or line bred and some seem to call it). Which bring me to my next point...

Three cremello Thoroughbred in Ontario. And with the three palomino sabino Thoroughbreds stallions I also have. So many choices :D :D This is a great thing. With coloured Thoroughbreds being rare and to have so many choices in a small area is a great thing for mare owners. A mare owner can make a trip up here and see all of them in a day and make the right choice for their particular mare. This should increase the quality of the offspring being produced.

You are welcome to use them. It should be easy to lift them from this thread. If you have trouble, let me know.

Here is the dam of the colt. She is a 16.1H Anglo Arabian mare (50/50). She is a champion In-Hand and over fences.

And this is the dam of the two fillies. She is a purebred arabian mare named Knee Deep (Tikis Flaming Jet+/ x a double Naborr bred mare). She is approved Trakehner and is a Regional Reserve Champion Sport Horse In-Hand. 15.1-1/2H barefoot. She is also an AHA Sweepstakes nominated dam, so those two palomino fillies are Sweepstakes entered.

Oh, the names of the three foals are:

1. Glitter Bey (the colt)
2. Deep Gold (the 2006 filly)
3. Not yet registered and still undecided for the 2008 filly.

April you will need more mares to breed to all your stallions now!!!

I just thought it odd that he had been advertised now for a few years, LFG and only 1,500.00 and no one took them up on it..just seemed odd to me..at that price I would think people would have flocked there for live cover. I am turning atleast 15 outside mares away per year...just don't want to do live cover to outside mares anymore...too much hassle for very little return with all the extra work.

allanglos that one filly really got spoted once she shed her baby coat...you would have never know from her foal coat!!! ;)

thanks allanglos. I also received your e-mail and will get back to you.

Blonde Filly... quite the opposite. I am reducing my mares or sort of re-organizing a bit. Time to switch it all up a bit. I know RFF was also not interested in having outside mares. They have been doing a lot of reorganizing themselves for a few years now and focusing more on a human family rather than a horse family. They have gone from a HUGE breeding operation (70+ horses) to a small operation (15 or so) So I am sure they got requests but ended up doing the same as you. This is why he should do very well here as we are set up and do take mares in. I even take mares in for AI to our WB stallions. It is a service that I like to offer mare owners. Coordinating vet for ultrasounds, shipping semen, vet to inseminate... can be a lot for someone who has a "regular" job. So we offer it as a service to our clients.

Silverbells... Here you go... http://www.blazingcoloursfarm.com/eldorado%20offspring.html I started a page for his kids and put the buckskin WBx on it as a start.

So, Win, they are up...

I can confirm that Red Fox Farms has, for the past few years, been mostly uninterested in horse breeding, as they were involved in human breeding! And owners are totally enjoying their humans baby (soon to be babies, plural).

Yes; Galileo you are welcome to come see him anytime. Maybe we even be at a show near you.

cshmouse, I too hope the snow melts before he arrives. He has never seen snow and probably not even temperatures below 0 or 32. The mares I purchase from Texas a couple years ago adjusted well and the one grows in close to the thickest coat of 'em all.

sonesta... yip baby(ies). so maybe some more ponies...

And below is out of an Arabian mare. These are very recent pictures of Glitter Bey mentioned above. He was Reserve Champion Sport Horse Under Saddle in both the Amateur and Open divisions. I would like to thank his owner for getting these nice quality photos. :) A stallion owner really does appreciate quality, clear photos!!! I love the muddy hairy ones too  but those do not get published to the website. ;) ;) So, Thank You Allanglos.:D
