I love QH or Paint crosses...love them. I have an Indian Artifacts and an Omega.
I would die for a Rugged Lark but the days are likely gone for one of those...and the prices of the offspring are:eek:
What QH or Paint stallions do you LOVE that the breeder will cross on TBs or WBs for that added height and just a little variety in the mix?:)

A student of my mom's has a mare by Lucky Two Straw out of her TB mare. She is a paint and a very, very nice jumper. They have had a lot of success (year end awards, etc) in eventing...but Elsie loves to jump. Great knees, good step and very cheerful. I think there is a picture of them out XC on our News & Events page.

Check out Artful Move. He is aged but I think he is still breeding.

This guy I have bred to:
http://www.double-dstables.com/superior_hobby.htm
he is more stock type himself but crossed with TBs or Paints w/ a lot of TB in them (the mare I bred to him was a 1/2 TB Paint) he does produce more size and a lovely hunter type. That filly from the cross is an A circuit hunter up in VT now.
Our deceased overo pinto TB stallion has a 3 YO buckskin tobiano Paint son that is intact in VA. His owner intends to breed him at some point but I am not sure if it is this year or not. I have to ask her since a few folks that liked Boomer are interested in him. He showed 2 YO HUS last fall/pic of him:

His registered name is Rare By Design.
I would also second the Lucky Two Straw family mentioned above.
Here is a Rugged Lark line kid:

Another good family is the Sacred Indian family. They do OK as hunters but not quite the huntery form...they tend to do better as jumpers than hunters.

We have a gorgeous, black and white (85% black) homozygous paint stallion who stands 16.2 and is producing fabulous sport horses. He has no homozygous horses in his pedigree..mostly top name QH, Paint sires with a bit of TB thrown in. His colts have size, quality and movement. His name is Charley's Tru Image.

I like this guy, he's a full TB but does the APHA stuff. His pedigree is impressive as well.

My Rugged Destiny. I'm not generally a QH fancier but I really like this guy.

I am going to throw in Reply aka Sinatra's Reply. He is doubled registered TB/APHA. I have 3 foals so far this year by him. Two of them look just like him and the 3rd has a star but I think she will end up with white on her belly. He is also in the Breeders Trust for 2008 with the APHA.

Focusing on those stallions who are proven producers of hunter-style jumping talent (vs. just specialized breed show HUS talent), you may want to consider
AQHA:
Skys Blue Boy (personal favorite of mine): http://www.skysblueboy.com/
Sonnys Hot Jazz (another personal fave of mine): http://www.jeqh.com/
Artful Move (some of his get can have quirky temperaments, but you probably wouldn't consider it that quirky for a TB):
http://www.artfulmove.com/
Artful Investment (son of Artful Move): http://www.highpointperformance.com/stallion/index.cfm
Coats N Tails: http://www.richlandranch.com/coatsntails.html
Do be aware that stated heights may not be actual heights, as "height inflation" is fairly common in the AQHA world. ;)
Even though I show in an APHA working hunter, I can't really comment on APHA stallions' ability to produce jumping talent, as there are so few APHA working hunters out there. Show results are not necessarily a reliable indicator, as some of our cowboy judges haven't figured out how to count strides yet. ;)
Hope this helps!

Are you going for an "A" hunter or a breed hunter?

Chances are I would be purchasing a foal already on the ground as opposed to breeding--however a friend of mine is also making her potential husband list' for her mare from this list also...so 2 of us are benefitting.
Both would be interested in A hunter potential as opposed to AQHA potential.
Thank you for ALL the sites and please keep them coming.:)

Try PALLADIO http://www.crestlinefarm.com
Try CLAIM TO FAME or COUNTERCLAIM http://www.flyingcolorsfarm.com
Both are fabulous and it seems the good temperments are very amateur friendly. ;)

If you don't want a giant foal, look at Sky blue Walker who is the sire of Skys Blue Boy (already suggested). He is 16.1 and has produced a lot of hunter types sport horses.
I have a mare by SBW who is winning everything in the hunter ring.
You can see the stallion here : http://www.skybluewalker.com/
