nope--they can only do this in Europe. (wink icon)
Hey! maybe we can get the DC to make a proposal for real-time results, as long as they are borrowing from the "Dutch model' for everything!
LOL

 Sooo Bad canyonoak!
But maybe, if you are going to make that suggestion to the TPTB, you could also suggest that they develop a data base for I.D. tracking like Europe?
Of course, to be taken seriously, are you part of the 70% membership with income of $75K or more?

I left before the last two rides - Courtney/Idocus and Tuny Page/Wild One. Courtney was in the lead on Myth with a 71+%, but Pop Art's score hadn't been announced yet.
Lars Peterson was in second with a 69 something and Lisa Wilcox in third with a 68 something.

I know your tongue was firmly in cheek but to give credit, the Foxvillage system could provide real time results if the venue was set up for doing so.
Pete who developed this program is an occasional poster here.
Born and developed in the beautiful Puget Sound country.

Whatever happened to the lady from Hong Kong, Lily Zilo? She is listed in the GP results as a DNS, yet on the Phelps Sports site there's a picture of her riding the test. (??)

I heard Lily rode but didn't see her go. I have a score sheet that has no score for her...
Courtney had a beautiful ride on Idocus. IMO better than Pop Art's, but what do I know?
Huge class with some interesting judging: judges at B and E as much at 6% apart. Not very many high scores. Seems like the less known horses went early and the more famous went last. How does that happen if there's a draw? I'd appreciate an explanation if anyone knows.

Hmm I guess the HK rider got a low score, sometimes they allow for the result to be registered as a DNS.
Re the order of go, at CDI's the order of go is done in groups, based on the FEI rankings. Those riders lower in the rankings are placed in the earlier groups, while the riders higher in the rankings (Courtney, Ashley, etc. etc.) are drawn in the last group of riders so they ride at the end of the class.

<< Foxvillage system could provide real time results if the venue was set up for doing so.>>
Yes, Pete has said so on various occasions and I know this is true.
Yayyyy Fox Village!

I saw it, and wished I hadn't.
The score was 50% in the end, but most judges had her at 42%

Lily Zilo has represented her country at the Asian Games and other international venues; she has shown Training Level -Grand Prix with very respectable scores , big shows on the Wellington/Florida circuit.
Currently, I think she works with Michelle Gibson, for what that is worth. I know that Michelle Gibson thinks enough of her that she had her ride for Hubertus Schmidt fairly recently.
I dare say a qualifying system has absolutely NOTHING to do with whatever problems she had in this Grand Prix with this particular horse.

Greetings all from DressageDaily, we have results and coverage and photos, with more highlights coming soon. We do our best as humanly possible to provide this quickly to all, but sometimes collapse at the end of the day! It was a wonderful show with lots of super dressage at all levels and lots of Grand Prix.

I was there most of the weekend and it was a great show with so many great rides. Hopefully some of it will make it on YouTube or something similar for everyone to see. Poppy was definitely a crowd favorite. I also saw LZ's GP ride on Friday and I overheard people literally say they can't watch this anymore. It was not pretty. Not sure if you know the circumstances of her acquiring this horse but she is not ready to be riding this horse or this level, IMHO. She was bouncing all over his back and spurring him like crazy. The judges made comments to this. The worst part was she had a long warm up prior to coming in the ring and then after the test went back into the warmup ring and rode him more what looked to be like she was asking for piaffe, but was spurring the heck out of him and he was kicking out and at the same time she was taking the reins and bringing them up and down (fast) in an effort to hit him in the mouth. A few of us witnessed this in uttter disgust and then a TD was called over to them. Unfortunately by the time she got there, she was just sitting on the horse and talking to her husband and trainer. It looked like she got a warning. Not sure why Canyon is defending her if she didn't even see the rides. I really would never say anything negative abour a rider, but this was not right. Still not sure why DressageDaily chose not to record the score of 50% for her when there were other scores of that and lower posted, is it a GP thing only????

I think Canyon may have mixed her up with a chinese woman , who has a similar name.
Because LZ placed either last or next to last in the asian games, and there are some rather accomplished Chinese riders out there.
I too was disgusted whitnessing this horse trying to figure out what on earth she was telling him, but now in hind sight, I am rather sad for her as well as for the horse.
How very disappointing, when you have to learn, that all the money in the world, the best horses you can buy, and the best trainers one can afford, can not teach you how to ride properly!
All that said... Yes Grand Prix is tough!!! that's why not everybody is riding it!!

You think?? I don't and that's why I was trying to figure out how she was defending her without even seeing the rides that you and I both saw. Like you said, all the money cannot buy you the years it takes to learn to ride propery and GP is tough. I know I will never ride it in this lifetime, and that's okay. Other than that, it was a pretty great day for dressage, wouldn't you say, Dirigo?

1. I didn't mix up her name--I mixed her up in my mind with another rider, also Chinese, also trying to qualify for their team.
2. I most certainly was not "defending", let alone commenting on, a ride I had not seen. I was commenting on Zilo's background--which includes much more successful rides at various levels, with various horses.
When I realized too late (after posting) that I was thinking of Jackie Siu...I decided not to keep posting.
I guess that was a bad idea.
On to better ideas!

Canyon that is something I would do!!
You are generally the "queen of facts" here on these posts, so I figured that there was no way we could not talk of the same person.
Filly ....... Yes it sure was a good day for dressage !!!!
