I have a Darco/Farn mare that is in foal to Mezcalero right now. I am having a very hard time deciding who to breed her to this year, this will be her last breeding. I am thinking Coconut Grove, maybe Noble Champion or Justice. Any suggestions? I need shorter back, longer leg and lighter.

Definitely go with Coconut Grove to accomplish what you're wanting. That's my advice.... without seeing a picture of the mare... just your description, pedigree and my personal experience with Darco progeny. When I read the first two lines of your post, I immediately thought CG, then saw you're thinking of him, too.

Now, you could post the full pedigree and picture of your mare, and see if the advice still stands! :-)

Vallado may also be a consideration. We are using him with our Parco / Calido I mare. http://www.silvercreeksporthorses.com/vallado.html

Consider Triomphe de Muze (Chin Chin x Galoubet) - he's currently ridden by Christine McCrea and has an outstanding performance record both here and in Europe. Between 2005 and 2006 Triomphe bred 300 mares in Europe. Some of his older off spring has successfully competed at the world breeding championships for young horses.

He was an enormously popular and successful stallion in Belgium and a nice choice for a Darco mare imo.

I would be happy to share his contact info if you are interested :-)

I would guess your mare could use some light and pretty. These stallions, except for Quinar, are not available fresh semen, but they're very much worth a look. They're all suited for a larger, old-fashioned type mare. All are jumper sires:

Cristo is line bred to Ladykiller. If your mare has a good front end, this would be an excellent choice to add refinement and length of leg.

Canto and Casall need big mares, either one would add refinement and very nice heads.

The "L - line" stallions, Limbus and Lancer II would be nice and very capable of giving you what you're looking for.

Darco sometimes produced a snarky attitude in his offspring. If she's not too snarky, Quinar would be a good choice. He would add refinement and the "blood" you need for your mare.

I'd also recommend Coconut Grove. I put a heavier holsteiner mare to him and am pleased with the cross. The mare was bred back to him for an 08 foal.

Quinar might be really nice with her. You can get Fresh semen and LFG.

Justice would be a nice choice. The Darco X Ramiro nick is very popular and successful.
