Just wondering if anyone else has used this rather new supplement and seen any results? Thanks in advance.

I have not yet, but am ordering it in my horses smartpak for next month. It was really hard to decide to do that because the company will NOT tell you how much gluc./cond./HA ect is in the product. My vet wanted my horse on a certain amount of glucosamine per day and most products require 1.5 to 3 times the suggested amount to reach the needed amoutn. But I have not idea how much is going into my horse other than xxx amount of mg of their mixture of stuff. How do we even know that 90% of the mixture filler and there is only traces of one part or another?

But, sigh... I'm going to try it and see if it helps my horse because he has been on the same high dose joint supplement for four years straight and has been going down hill lately. I'll give it a month, but I really don't like the idea of having no idea of what I'm putting into my horse. Maybe most people don't look at that sort of thing though and will buy it off of advertising??? Otherwise they probably won't be on the market long unless it is truly amazing.

Does any one else think they are hiding something by not being willing to tell what is in the supplement?

NEM- I think that just about sums in up :lol::lol:

Flyracing- to be honest, I was curious about how a supplement could cost so much and checked out their website to try and find some more info. There wasn't a lot of info, just claims about how great it is. I finally found out there was something about eggshell extracts- I can't really remember this was a while ago. I figured if I ever felt the need to feed eggshells to my horse I could just chuck him some of my used ones ;)

Flyracing - that was my understanding too when I talked to the reps at the USDF convention - they just wouldn't say how much gluc/chond/HA was in their patented formula. But after talking to them again, I was told that the NEM - natural eggshell membrane REPLACED the gluc/chond/HA which is not what I understood originally.

So now I'm really confused.....

Bumping this back up as it has been a few months. I've started two of my show horses on it and am interested to see if anyone has had any good results with it yet....so far so good with my guys, nothing very noticeable but they've only been getting it for 1.5 months now.

Also, is anyone working on a formal study with it yet? I think I read some literature that said there have been formal studies done with steadfast on cows and pigs but nothing on sport horses has been published.

I'd be interested to know if there are any testamonials as well. I actually just looked at this yesterday when going through Lit's smartpak supplements, and went to the website, but I didn't find much info from them.

I am weary of giving him something where there isn't much info available, but this stuff DOES intrigue me.

Talked to my vet just now and he's dropping off several packets worth of literature on Steadfast from the company and different vets that have worked/done studies with it for me tomorrow. I'll peruse and let you know what I come up with. If it turns out to be worthwhile I might scan some of it and could send you a copy.

Nice! I'd love to know what they say about it. Did he have anything to say about it?

I also just logged onto thehorse.com, and saw this study- I'm assuming it has something to do with Steadfast, since they are the manufacturers- it will be interesting to know what comes out of it.

I'm the Marketing Manager for Arenus. I understand your frustrations in looking for more complete information on our site. Our company is owned by a very large animal health and nutrition company in STL, Novus International, and this causes us to be overly cautious in terms of the claims we make on the website and our marketing literature. We do have a pretty big library of testimonials and pics I can share if you want to e-mail me (jeremy.moore@arenusperformance.com).

We are getting ready to overhaul our website and want to really make it useful to you. So, please give me your thoughts on what information or content you'd like to see on the site and I will try to incorporate what I can.

whether or not we have satisfied customers on this product or not??? It's advertised on the back of one of my magazines and I don't personally know anyone who uses it....yet. Anyone here???

Another bump - I'm looking for real folks here on COTH using it with real results - or no results? My vet recommended this product this morning when I called asking about Adequan.
