Please read the second post for an update. This mare would actually make a nice riding horse. I rode her the other day and she did great. I took pictures. If you're interested, I can email them. Thanks!

Looking for a good home for a 16-year-old JC registered mare. She would be fine for casual riding, but she's not going to be a show horse. She is a little stiff, but she loosens up when she's ridden. She would also make a good companion horse. She has been turned out with other mares, geldings, and yearlings. She has a quiet temperment. Other than her stiffness at the beginning of rides, she has no health issues. She does better with shoes. I have not had her on any joint supplements, but she may benefit from them. She has done a little bit of everything, hunter, jumper, dressage, and trails. I would like to see her in a loving home. I've had her for 13 years, and will need to know she's going to a good home. I bred her as a 13 year old, and she was pregnant at her 45-day ultrasound, but at her 90-day, she was no longer pregnant. I never lookiing into it further, since she was already 13.

She is in Mid-TN.

I tacked this mare up the other day to see how she was. I haven't ridden her really in a year, at least.

I thought she would be a little stiff and sore. She proved me wrong. Even without shoes on, which I usually ALWAYS have had on her, she was extremely forward. Her only fault that I could feel was on her turns she was not bending very well. I think with some conditioning, though, she actually be a pretty nice horse for somebody. We even took her over a few crossrails, which she was fine with. I am not looking to place her in a jumper home, but I think a few crossrails will be fine. I'm going to attempt to post a picture or two that I took of her ride from the other day. If I mess up, my apologies.
