Lifelines Farm

Hello all. My name is Tee and I run Lifelines Farm & Sanctuary which is located near York,PA. We rescue horses, rehab, and rehome them. We also offer sanctuary to horses that simply need a place to retire.

We are currently home to 32 wonderful horses ranging in age from 4mos to 35yrs. I am asking if anyone has an old blanket they can spare to keep a rescue horse warm this Winter.

Look for a box from NC by next week, I have a few that I just washed intending to sell them, but if you guys need them I would rather you have them.

Thank you Pookah!

The horses will appreciate being warm this Winter. After all that some of them have been through, they deserve to be snuggly warm.

I'll have to dig it out, but I have a 72" green plaid stable blanket that was given to me years ago when I bought a TB (it was one of his "youngster" blankets). It hasn't fit any of my horses.

The hip has the inner material missing, I can patch it w/ duct tape unless you want me to leave it alone.

All you'd need is a waterproof sheet to throw on overtop to make it a t/o. :)

stable blankets would be awesome as well. I just want to be sure each horse has a blanket when the weather gets cold.

Thank you!

Lifeline, I went to your website but never confirmed anywhere that you are a 501 c rescue. If you are, I can make a few suggestions of places to blanket your friends. I am going through blankets today to make sure everyone is outfitted and may have a few left, if so, they are yours.

Rob sorry to hear about Tee. As the Billy Joel song goes "Only the good die young".
It sounds like Tee was doing good.

Thanks. SonnysMom. Tee was a fixture over at alexbrownracing.com (Friends of Barbaro) - almost 5,000 posts in < 2 years.

Tee's husband, and a friend, are doing their best to care for Tee's horses (I believe almost 30 of them).

Tee was a voice of reason. Never got angry. Was always there to help a horse in need. If you sent Tee a post, she always replied.

She will be missed.

This rescue was never a 501(c)3.

Sorry to hear about Tee, but there is much controversy going on about this rescue's legitmacy. She used to claim she was a 501c3 but that was deleted. I can not even find her registered as a business, and I tried every conceivable name.(s) I hope some rescues can help the horses so they can be adopted out and protected in the future.:confused:

Floridarider, what exactly is your point? Tee has passed away, she was a wonderful person, very giving, did not live a high life. Most particularly, she is gone and will be missed, I have my last email from her saved from October 27th where she was once again loving her horses and laughing. She had a lovely sense of humor and was always ready to help. I hope as much can be said for you.

Well, it seems that there is alot that is unanswerable about this situation and I am shocked but my above still stands since my only interactions with her were positive. That does not fit in with what else has been learned but I have been surprised before. I am still grateful for what she did for Bridget, a dog who was heartworm positive and what she did for many horses which were all well cared for from all of the reports of those who visited. Her "fundraising" seems to be the primary issue (not the only) but the horses are all now being rehomed and are being cared for if any info coming from ABR can be believed.
