Anyone have results (so I don't have to wait forever to see them online) or photos? Who was the HB & PHB photographer? I could not be there :sigh: and don't think that Teresa has photos of any of the breeding classes. Please tell me someone was there!!

I was there yesterday and today- I know there was a female photographer taking pics in ring 1 today (Sunday). It was not Teresa- I am not sure if it was someone who works for her.

My new filly won her thoroughbred foals/weanling class! I am not sure if I can mention her name/breeder without it being a brag.
I was disappointed the the video coverage did not include the hunter breeding.

The person with Teresa was Laura Cotterman. Not sure if the photos will go up on Teresa's site or Laura's, but if they're not on Teresa's site, Laura's is www.lauracotterman.com

Congrats! Yeah, I'd leave names out of it ;)

Did anyone make a list of winners by chance? (fingers crossed!)

Congrats everybody! I was there watching. The horses were stunning!

Sure were some naughty boys in the colt/geldings classes! I admired the handlers for getting them settled. (although there were a few escapees!!)

The weather could not have been better- what a gorgeous day it was for the breeding classes. And yes there were a few "naughty" ones, but there was so much going on outside the ring, so much noise- some just could not contain themselves!

My Grandfoal won his Foal class on Pony Breeding Day. :)

Five foals had been listed in the catalog and at least six more post entered. HUGE foal class, but at Upperville you can count on the entries, that's for sure!

Sometimes it is so tough living on the the other coast!
It would be so much fun to be able just to go and watch Upperville and Devon. Next year I am going to try to fit it into the schedule. It is a little tough with foaling season but it just looks like so much fun and what an oppurtunity to see so many wonderful horses and fellow COTHers.
I am looking forward to seeing lots of photos. Congratulations to all who did so well. We need a temporary lifting of the bragging ban. After all this is about breeding!

Congrats to all! I was glad I left my horses home so I could really get into watching. I was especially proud of the Zarr offspring that placed well in all the divisions... and his two offspring Malibu Barbie and Princeton won the get of sire class.
Genevieve you missed a real exciting moment when your filly won!

Who was Best Young Horse?

I believe it was the chestnut yearling TB colt with Kenny Wheeler., but let me say that there were some other VERY nice horses in that class.

Here are a very few pictures from Upperville. All high resolution so long to download. None cropped, etc.

There was a grey Oldenburg 3 year old filly by Contucci that was one of the prettiest horses in the ring today. She moved very nice and behaved well also.

No, this was a yearling chestnut colt. I believe Moses is a 3 year old dark colt. I am looking for pictures of Moses actually because I am doing his sire's webpage. If anyone has any pictures!?

I thought Kenny W had the winning TB yearling at Devon by a race TB stallion. I am racking my pathetic memory on that yearling. I know I looked up the stallion and his stud fee is $10,000.

Who is the palomino that you took so many pictures of?

A Dutch/TB 2 year old colt by Torrerro (sp?) and out of a Gold Apollo mare--I believe. I thought he was very interesting and a friend of mine was considering using a stallion bred like this so we took a bunch of pictures to keep as reference.

What beautiful weather for pony breeding on Saturday! VB I missed you b/c I was inside a gooseneck braiding. Sorry! I didn't even get a chance to see my yearling gelding go. He was fifth. I am elated. I am told by the handler that they were setting up the Grand Prix jumps next door and Shamu scared him to death. Poor baby! So, needless to say he wouldn't stand still. Oh well, another learing experience! The photographer for the pony breeding was Jordan Koepke and she has downloaded most of the photos to her website www.jordankoepke.com

Thank you for posting them... The first two horses are two of my favorites - Sassicaia and Tinka's Lad. Sassy has the coolest tail - it has a ring of white hair about halfway down the bone. Had to have been from some sort of injury, but it looks cool as heck!

The colt that was BYH is actually OUT OF Check Out The Flag and by Mojave Moon (another race bred colt for the Wheelers - they misread the entry I am sure!). He was 2nd at Devon behind Private Dancer in the yearling colts and yearling championship.

I'm researching the other one :)

Here is a shot of the Best Young Horse! I shot the hunter breeding in the main ring and am working my way through 24 GB of photos. I think I have good shots of pretty much every horse. They will be posted on www.uppervillephotos.com in the next day or two.

It was a beautiful day and there were tons of nice horses. The OTTB classes were huge.

I would actually love that. We found it funny seeing as how it was his first show, and he decided to be all boy. To clear up any doubt, he was number 1003. Very dark grey, no markings. Oops, sorry, I thought you had the chestnut colt. I don't have any wild stuff of your boy. I'm always amazed that more of the youngsters don't blow a fuse in the ring. Those big classes take long enough that they must push the attention span of any baby.

Ohh yeah, I remember the chestnut. He was having a fit.

My colt was just being .. for lack of a better word, hormonal. There are a few pictures on your site of him trotting out. If he hadn't decided to drop, they would have been nice. Oh well though!

Thanks anyway :)
