At this event you will see a group of outstanding jumping prospects coming from the legendary VDL Stud in the Netherlands and dressage prospects selected by the Westphalian Studbook in Germany. The horses were specially selected for their superior talent, disposition, and quality for the demanding horse market at the Winter Equestrian Festival.  Watch the presentation of horses live at 4:00PM EST on Tuesday February 17th and the live auction on Thursday, February 26th at 7:00PM EST.

In a class that already consistently provides entertainment in the form of knockdowns, intense speed and refusals, the 16-horse field claimed a number of riders who’d represented their countries in championship competition.

Farrington Soars To Repeat CSI3* Victory

Wellington, Fla.—Feb. 13  

When Harrie Smolders and Don VHP Z set a blistering pace—topping the previous fastest time put in by Erynn Ballard and Appy Cara by nearly three seconds, it seemed that he’d leave the showgrounds victorious in the $85,000 Salamander Hotels and Resort CSI3* Grand Prix.

But Kent Farrington, who’s earned a reputation for speed, had yet to return. Farrington made a repeat of last year’s performance with Blue Angel, gunning it to finish atop a nine-horse jump off.

Paige Johnson Takes No Prisoners in WEF Challenge Cup

Wellington, Fla.—Feb. 12

From the moment she entered the ring, it was clear that Paige Johnson was riding for the win in the 2015 $34,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup—Round 6 at the Winter Equestrian Festival on Thursday Feb. 12. In a class where clear rounds were plentiful—16 total double clears—speed was necessary to come out on top. As Dakota powered through the final set of timers, it was evident that if Johnson hadn’t put in the winning trip, she was close.
