Press Proves The Best At Penn National

Harrisburg, Pa., Oct. 16

Victoria Press enjoyed the horse show of her young career at this year’s Pennsylvania National. She and Olivia Jack’s Love And Laughter claimed the large pony hunter and grand pony hunter titles, as well as topping the pony hunter classic. She also picked up two red ribbons aboard her other mounts, large pony Midnight Hour and medium pony Hillcrest Kilkenny. The judges rewarded her great riding with best child rider on a pony honors. Betsee Parker’s For The Laughter finished as the reserve large pony, with Victoria Colvin up.

Oliver Twist Takes The NAL Pony Jumper Finals

The course for the $5,000 NAL Pony Jumper Finals may not have been to her mount’s liking, but Jessica Karsin Landis wouldn’t let that get in the way of her mount claiming blue. Oliver Twist has a notoriously short stride, so when Steve Stephens set three in-and-outs at the Pennsylvania National, Landis knew she’d have a challenge.

Caccamise Keeps Her Cool To Claim The Equisport Insurance USEF Pony Medal Final

August 15 Lexington, Ky.

Isabelle Caccamise snagged a wire-to-wire victory during the Equisport Insurance USEF Pony Medal Final during the last day of USEF Pony Finals. She claimed the title over Victoria Colvin after judges Scott Hoffstetter and Ralph Caristo asked the top two riders to hack off for the ribbon. Hannah Patten moved up from sixth after a great second round to take third.

Sydney Shulman and Set Sail Make Pony Jumper Finals History

Fifteen-year-old Sydney Shulman made her last year in the pony jumper ring count, picking up her second consecutive USEF Pony Finals individual jumper championship gold medal. The seasoned pair let not a single rail drop throughout the three rounds of competition, and “Sailor” never skipped a beat.

In a true team effort, Zones 1, 5 and 9 combined to win the pony jumper team championship at the USEF Pony Finals Friday night, with a narrow victory over Zone 7/10. Zone 2 picked up the bronze.

Darst Continues Her Winning Streak At USEF Pony Finals

August 13 Lexington, Ky.

Maddie Darst found the perfect way to follow up her small pony title at USEF Pony Finals: another championship.

Darst, 13, rode Elizabeth’s Wenner's Highland’s Make Believe to the top of the medium pony division today, after topping the medium pony over fences class. The reserve rosette went to Isabelle Caccamise and Better Than Good.
