Region 5 Forges Dressage Gold

Lexington, Ky. - July 18

For the third year in a row, Region 5 won the dressage team gold at the Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, but the victory was not without challenges for both veteran and rookie riders.

2012 NAJYRC Dates Announced

The 2012 Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships will take place July 18-22, 2012, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. Riders will compete for nine different FEI Championships in the disciplines of dressage, eventing, show jumping and reining for Juniors and Young Riders, with endurance being held solely for Young Riders.

Area III Accepts CCI** Gold At NAJYRC

July 31, Lexington, Ky.

The Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships concluded today with show jumping for the eventing competitions. The CCI** show jumping track proved tricky for some riders. Only seven riders out of 17 jumped clear rounds.

Schaefer Scores Junior Show Jumping Gold

July 31, Lexington, Ky.

The junior individual medalists were decided in a jump-off after the top three tied with 4 cumulative faults from the five rounds of competition. First to go in the jump-off, Hayley Barnhill and Toucan Tango lowered one rail. Merlin and Frances Land jumped a clear round, but with a time (35.81 seconds) that turned out slower than Samantha Schaefer and Trezebees’ 33.95 seconds.

Loewen Leaves NAJYRC With Junior Freestyle Gold

July 30, Lexington, Ky.

The junior and young rider dressage freestyles on Day 4 of the Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships were put on a thunderous hold as storms circled overhead at the Kentucky Horse Park throughout the afternoon. However, the rain didn't deter horse or rider from performing to the best of their abilities, and after a three-hour hold, the junior freestyle competition continued.
