Redmond Rides To Brentina Cup Win

Kayce Redmond’s weekend couldn’t have gone much better—two days of Brentina Cup competition resulted in two blue ribbons and the overall Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Young Adult Dressage Championship for the 24-year-old from Alpharetta, Ga.

“I’m just really excited. Hopefully it will put my name out there a little bit more and give me some exposure. I’ve been out of the big arena since young riders,” said Redmond.

Davis Hangs On To Win Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Young Rider Championship

For a few tense seconds it looked like Meagan Davis was going to be eliminated from her Young Rider Individual test. Her mount Bentley displayed a round of acrobatics during her first canter-half pass and nearly unseated her. But Davis picked up her reins and stirrups and continued on with her ride, earning 69.10 percent and second place in the Individual test and first overall in the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Young Rider Championship (69.65 %).

Konyot Takes Home National Grand Prix Championship And Earns A Spot On The WEG Team At Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival Of Champions

Tina Konyot ran off with the lead on Day 1 of the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Championship aboard Calecto V, and she never looked back. She won all four Grand Prix tests over two weekends and finished as the undisputed national champion today, after her freestyle (75.75%).

Redmond Takes The Early Lead In Brentina Cup Championship

Drawing the No. 1 spot isn’t usually considered lucky in dressage competition, but Kayce Redmond made it work to her advantage when she earned the highest score (64.76%) of the nine-horse class aboard Latino in the Brentina Cup Test at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions.

Pestana Picks Up Another Junior Title At Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival Of Champions

After a month on the road, Jamie Pestana may need to buy an extra suitcase to carry home all her loot when she returns to Livermore, Calif. She won both classes in the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Junior Championship this weekend to earn the national championship—just two weeks after she won two individual gold medals at the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships.

Pestana said “Winny” is normally a very forward horse who loves to show off his extended trots.
