Cuba’s In Top Form In Devon

Devon, Pa.—May 23 

It’s been a weekend for career-changed horses to shine at Devon. Cuba, piloted by McKayla Langmeier, added his name to the list currently occupied by Hunter Holloway’s equitation horse, Any Given Sunday, who originally started in the jumper ring.

The bay gelding owned by Missy Clark and North Run had a clean sweep in the large junior, 15 and under, division. With the maximum number of points accumulated in the division, he was the clear winner of the overall large junior championship, and the grand junior championship.

Tiva Nana Triumphs In Grand Prix Freestyle At Devon

It was an electric crowd watching the Dressage At Devon Grand Prix freestyle under the lights of the Dixon Oval Sept. 27. Hundreds of dressage fans buzzed with concern when a horse took a misstep, and cheered with gusto when the riders turned down the centerline for their final salute.

The loudest cheers came as the final horse and rider walked into the ring — and Ashley Holzer gave the audience a performance to remember aboard the eager-to-please Tiva Nana.

Rosevelt Finds His Way To Victory In The Grand Prix For The Special At Devon

For years, Allison Brock has poured her heart and soul into developing her stallion Rosevelt and bringing him along to the Grand Prix level, all with the goal of competing at Dressage At Devon (Pa.).

“I thought this was the perfect venue to bring him out to a big show,” said Brock, 35. “This is a very prestigious show, and it’s a lot of atmosphere. The venue can be hard for a lot of horses – especially for a stallion – because there’s a lot going on. But he really handled it well. He’s definitely matured in that way.”

Double The Trouble At Devon: Meet Twins Jack And Jill

Jack and Jill went up the hill… or into the show ring, as it happened Sept. 25 at Dressage At Devon (Pa.). Jubilee Jill and Jolly Jack were the talk of the town after the twin foals competed in the KWPN-NA 2 & Under breed division at the prestigious show, accompanied by their dam, Torieta. They made history as the firstever twins to show at Devon, given that multiple births are a rarity in the horse world.
