A Gamble For Haness Pays Off In The WCHR Handy Hunter Challenge

Nick Haness describes himself as a gambler, and at the World Champion Hunter Rider Handy Hunter Challenge at the Capital Challenge Horse Show, he made one gamble that paid off in spades.

Near the end of the course, a small tree forced all of the other riders to make an outside turn, but Haness knew his mount, Gelato, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood (Cavalier—Patricia) owned by Conor Perrin, would be able to make the extreme inside turn.

Stewart Makes It Five At The WCHR Professional Rider Finals

Scott Stewart jumped into the lead of Round 1 of the World Champion Hunter Rider Pro Hunter Rider Finals, and he never let go. Over four rounds of competition, Stewart laid down one stellar round after another to earn his fifth career title at Capital Challenge.

Pletcher Named WCHR Professional National Champion

After two rounds going against the top hunter riders in the country, Peter Pletcher won the $25,000 World Champion Hunter Rider Professional Challenge, clinching the WCHR year-end titles as well at Capital Challenge.
