Tryon International Equestrian Center Announces Start of 2016 Carolinas' Challenge Cup Series Spanning Four Different Competition Venues

Mill Spring, NC - July 19, 2016 - Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) in conjunction the North Carolina Hunter Jumper Association (NCHJA), is pleased to announce the launch of the new Carolinas' Challenge Cup Series, set to take place at horse shows across the Carolinas region, with the series culminating in a final competition to be hosted at the TIEC venue during Tryon Fall IV, which will begin Wednesday, October 12, and conclude Sunday, October 16.

Highlights of this year’s event will include the Longines Speed Challenge, Gold Cup, Pro-Am Style and Competition for Charity, and more, culminating with Sunday’s Longines Grand Prix.

Lexington, Ky. - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce the recipients of Land Rover/USEF and USET Foundation eventing competition grants for the Millstreet International Horse Trials CCI3*, Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials CCI4*, Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials CCI3*, and Military Boekelo-Enschede CCIO3*.

TDF Awards Grants to Adult Amateur and Youth Rider for Study at Spanish Riding School’s Heldenberg Training Center

July 13, 2016 - The Dressage Foundation has announced that Adult Amateur Anne Zahradnik (NY) and Youth Rider Kailey Jones (WA) are recipients of TDF’s 2016 Heldenberg Training Center Fund grants.  Anne and Kailey will each receive $2,200 to attend educational courses at the Spanish Riding School’s Training Center in Heldenberg, Austria.

USA’s Endel Ots Heads to The Netherlands for World Breeding Dressage Championships

Ever since the Markel/United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National Young Horse Dressage Program was launched 14 years ago, the awareness, knowledge, and popularity of breeding and developing future generations of quality dressage horses in this country have increased dramatically. Now the National Dressage Pony Cup shined a similar spotlight on up-and-coming dressage ponies with the inaugural NDPC Young Pony Futurity, held as part of the NDPC Championship Show on July 8-10, 2016 in Lexington, Ky.

Eric Lamaze Wins in Germany with Fine Lady 5

Aachen, Germany – Eric Lamaze of Schomberg, ON, scored victory riding Fine Lady 5 in Aachen, Germany, on Wednesday, July 13.

The 2008 Canadian Olympic Show Jumping Champion was one of 60 challengers in the €62,700 Turkish Airlines Prize of Europe riding Fine Lady 5.  Lamaze, with Fine Lady 5, has been nominated to the Canadian Olympic Committee, who will officially announce the 2016 Canadian Olympic Equestrian Team on July 14.
